  1. If that is another of your inane opinions?. Perhaps you should be upright enough to name the "some" you mention and not leave us in any doubt as to who you are castng aspersions at.
  2. Very good pictures. Food looks good? Inside looks very very good. Not too impressed with the outside, looks too futuristic, guess I'm a twin-tower man of old.
  3. Na, it was a lad called Winters. They beat Liverpool 1-0 in the 3rd.round, 1952-53 season and went on to finish in the last eight losing 1-0 to Bolton on a goal by Lofthouse.
  4. Well I never, another inane comment by the person who doesn't seem to realise that by trying to demean people he merely magnifies the pathetic image of himself that he has already established. Unfortunately for you, you stupid arsehole, it's also true. Ah yes, yet another inane comment from the pathetic LeazesMag, will he ever have the sense to realize that whenever he tries to demean someone he just sinks deeper in the midden he has dug for himself.

  6. So, you admire his staunchness in maintaining his opinion that....... I know nothing about Newcastle United, ........that I haven't seen many games, ..........that I am a KK bandwagon jumper, ......that I can't answer his questions,....... that I know nothing before or since 1992,........ that I know little about the club, .......that I know nothing about the current board,...... that I pretend to be a supporter, ................even in the face of disagreement from a bloke who supported Newcastle before he was born. It may well be something that Leazes strongly believes in, but that doesn't make it true, accurate, factual, or even close except in his own tunnel-visioned outlook directed towards the opinions and comments of others.
  7. Aw gee, does that mean the "yankee bloke" won't get to call him a pedantic, self-congratulating egoist anymore, and not be able to refer to his fixations and stupidity? Aw gee that's sad, the 'yankee bloke', ..you know,... Noelie, ...ain't gonna miss him much, have a nice day.
  8. Too many lateral and back passes, Rooney and Johnson as much bite up front as me ganny without her dentures. Was like watching Newcastle, lots of pocession but no finish. McClaren's like Roeder, makes changes too late. Wouldn't have surprised me if they had scored on a breakaway. SHITE!
  9. I wonder who remembers when Gateshead knocked Liverpool out of the FA Cup
  10. you forgot to add Luton, Wimbledon, Oxford, QPR, Coventry, Southampton, Ipswich, Norwich, West Brom, Leicester, Watford..... to name a few, who all did this when they won trophies and qualified for europe when we did not, when we had a shit board. Why not ? Oh.....its because you didn't know HELLO, it's LeazesMag speaking out of his arse-hole again. Well this time I will endeavour to lower myself to his low-level of intelligence, which will be extremely difficult as I've never crawled in a sewer-pipe before SO, not only do you have a low-level of intelligence LeazesMag, you are also absolutely fucking stupid. If you read my post before you started spouting your shit-nonsense you would have seen that I used the word 'etal'. 'Etal' is a scholarly abbreviation of the Latin phrase 'Et Alia' which means 'and others' and is commonly used when you don't want to name 'all the others'. Do you get it stupid, using 'etal' covered all those 'other names' you mention. You should give a little thought to what kind of shit you want to try and shovel my way in case there's a fucking big hole in your shovel and you're going to get the shit all over your boots. Your lack of intelligence is only surpassed by your overwhelming egotistical stupidity and fixations. I'm not loathe to say this but you are the stupidist fucking person I've ever met outside a fucking loony-bin. And I'm sure we are going to enjoy your shit-stupid attempts to do some damage control now that the shits hit the fan and it's all over you. Well I never, LeazesMag hasn't responded to my post yet. Perhaps he has recently accrued enough common-sense to realise that he is continuously making a laughing-stock of himself and not gaining any credibility with his R&R(repititious rubbish).
  11. If you have played the game competively as I have, and I'm sure most of you have, then you are well aware of the feelings that prevail with a win or a loss especially when a loss comes in a crucial match when there is a lot at stake. I believe the feeling of being 'gutted' at losing far exceeds the joy of winning and seems to last longer. However, I have found it to be very true that in many facets of life things can be worse for the onlooker than it can be for the people involved. The onlooker can only stand helplessly by watching someone struggle, unable to change or help the situation, and feel 'gutted at not being able to do something, anything.
  12. More and more I am beginning to doubt Roeders ability to get the best out of the players at his disposal, motivate them into a winning team, and recognize when it is time to make changes. Sibierski was ineffective today, Martins was like a damp-squib, Milner's crosses were again awful, Gooch was scary, Zoggy should have been brought on long before he was. Another disgusting result.
  13. If self-destruction was the name of the game Newcastle would be winning trophies. Another classic example of a match there to be won and what do Newcastle do?...... why they self-destruct.
  14. Got an e-mail from a cousin today who has been a Newcastle supporter longer than me cos he's older than me. Here's the content of his e-mail. Subject: Dis-United. Everthing that has gone wrong all season long seemed to happen altogether last night. Useless board, useless manager, and countless useless assistants. Supposed super-stars who just don't perform. Apparent lack of fight and will to win. Tactically naive. Sadly the season will just grind on with little or no hope of improvement. However Newcastle supporters will just carry on hoping, just as we have always done. Keep the faith bonny lad.

  16. I think that now the injury list is diminishing and more and more players are availalable it's becoming increasingly apparent that Roeder does not seem to have the abilities needed to motivate, assemble, and mould them into a workmanlike team. When you see the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd. etal stroking the ball around to players in open spaces and moving like a well-oiled machine and at times beautiful to watch, you have to think why the hell can't we do that, after all they're just running around and kicking a fucking ball. Is it because we are like a wheel that hasn't fallen off but has too many broken spokes to run smoothly and the repair-man isn't a qualified spokes-man.
  17. It's all very well for Roeder to cast blame on defensive frailties, and the goals scored were certainly due to poor defending, but in retrospect it was Roeder himself who chose the defensive line-up and the blame should initially rest on his managerial qualities. And as a former defender himself I don't understand why he can't stiffen it up at the back. With the absense of Babayaro and Carr he should have chosen the last person to defend well at right-back and that was Taylor. His choice of Huntington was clearly a wrong choice, Huntington has proved time and time again that he is not suited to that position and I question why he prefers him over Edgar. Roeder should have given Taylor the responsibility of holding the left side and in the absense of quality defenders put Huntington or Edgar in the middle with Bramble as they are supposedly central defenders.
  18. To summarize in one word; PATHETIC!
  19. Dead and Buried. Had a feeling it was going to be a funeral.
  20. By the way, the shoot-out rule to determine a winner in league games has been abolished by the Major Soccer League in North America. They now hold fast to the 3 points for a win and 1 point for a draw.
  21. Longer than a weekend, .......... when we lose I'm always trying to find out if there's a community suicide club but it seems like there's never anybody around to give out information.
  22. I think seating provides you with a better view of the match(unless the people in front of you jump out of their seats quicker than you can) as opposed to the terraces which favour people taller than you are(ever stood behind giants).
  23. Hoy! divvint blame uncle Sam fer ivvorything. Blame him for fast-food outlets, rap music, people wearing denim & baseball caps, and the war in Iraq etc etc, but not for wanting draws in 'soccer'. After all uncle Sam still has feet n' inches. pounds n' ounces, pints n' gallons, and even Farenheit. He hasn't gone metric so don't you go ballistic.
  24. Kinda lost the plot a bit in the second half but it was a great result, Just hope those 2 away goals don't bite us in the arse.
  25. I'm hoping that after our poor showing against Wigan and Boro we're due for a good show and it'll come tonight. A lot may depend on Roeders line-up choice now that more players are becoming available.
