  1. If we are relegated, and we might well be, I think you would have to call the loss of 2 points at Bournemouth the nail in the coffin. Forget the other games we should have, could have won, this one was catastrophic. Two up at half time, in the lead for so long, then leak 2 late goals, unbelievable and unforgivable.
  2. And wots more Mitro has scored again today and played 90 minutes.
  3. Maybe not safe with the win, but a hell of a lot better off higher up the table and a bigger margin from the bottom three. I've said before that other results have just as much affect as ours does and today is proof of that with Brighton and Huddersfield getting 3 points. 3 points today would have kept us above them and put us above Bournemouth on goal difference. The self-inflicted loss of 2 points today was horrendous.
  4. That was pathetic, typical Newcastle, tossing points doon the netty. You could say that Shelvey missing the sitter cost us dearly. Who would have thought that a 2 nowt lead would turn into such a nail-biting finish when it looked like they were going to get a winning goal. Diame was back to his usual game, nothing like he was against ManU. Shelvey was no where near his performance against ManU either. Kenedy was disappointing, shone in his first game but hasn't kept up the tempo. That was disgustingly disappointing, slipping down the table and still in a dire relegation battle when we could have been in a much better place if we hadn't fucked it up.
  5. That's probably true, but at least Mitro would have been available if needed.
  6. Mitrovic: 3 appearances for Fulham ...... 1 goal. Slimani: 0 appearances and none in sight.
  7. C'mon Dougle, simple question to see what answers would come up. Remember being told to strip by a medical doctor but can't remember what war, Boer maybe. 1897 was a couple of years before my interest in football piqued.
  8. Why are they called 'strips'?
  9. Calm down lads, yes we've climbed up the slippery slope to 13th place after that brilliant win over ManUre but keep in mind we are only 2 points above the bottom three. Other team results are just as important as our own at the moment, a see-saw condition exists week by week. It is to be hoped that the win will create a massive boost in morale and confidence, if we keep playing as well as we did I'm sure the dread of relegation will disappear as we rack up more points.
  10. For me, and I'm sure many others, a win was hoped for but not expected today. Won't pick out any mistakes by anyone, a brilliant shift put in by everyone except the referee who should have given a penalty. Loved the way Shelvey put some tackles in, he was up for this match. Full marks to Rafa for starting our new Keeper, what a debut!
  11. Very true, but he went back to homeland Bermuda some years ago. Became the Bermuda national team coach, then went into the prison service.
  12. Aa divvint knaa wot froggy taak is aal aboot hinny, aa canna mek heed nor tail of it like.
  13. I guess what's really sad is that our results aren't hurting as much as other results are. We've moved down a place without kicking a ball and if Huddersfield win and we lose then we are in the bottom three..
  14. How can we get him? kidnap, death threats against family, hire the mafia to see we get him, something.
  15. Dropping points when you shouldn't have will nearly always bite you in the arse at a later day when it counts. If Joselu had scored the penalty and Clark not given the penalty, those lost 4 points would have put us in 11th place and softened the relegation woes.
  16. Happy with a point after watching that dismal, desperate second half when it had all the looks of losing. 2 games, 2 penalties, 1 missed, 1 scored, 4 lost points, hey that's Newcastle. For some fleeting moments after Diame scored I thought we might just pull it off but that cheap penalty ruined it, and from there it was all downhill or uphill as you wish to call it. Kenedy was not the bright spark he was against Burnley, accomplished very little. Had high hopes for Yedlin but he's just not good enough for us in the Premier league. Shelvey does not rise to the occasion when things get tough. Dummett is doing a decent shift each game.
  17. I see Colback played 90 minutes for Forest and Mitrovic played 35 minutes for Fulham in the 2 - 0 win for Fulham but Mitro didn't score.
