If we had come away with 3 points it would not have been deserved,, and we were more than lucky to come away with 1. Score was Aston Villa 2 - Newcastle 0. We didn't score a fucking goal and had chances galore. Personally I fault Benitez. He was at fault for not making changes when he saw us going down hill. Gayle was a an anonymous passenger and should have been yanked at half-time, he is NOT A NUMBER 9. Benitez should have figured out by now what our best team is and play them, his rotation is not working. I won't say the 2nd half was nail biting, I'll be criticized if I do, but I wouldn't have been at all surprised if we had lost as it was backs to the wall from the kick-off.

Happy with the win, happy with the 3 points, but not happy with the woeful display which started at the kick-off and continued until the final whistle. I have to seriously question Rafa's strategy even though we won........Colback & Shelvey together, Jesus wept...... bona fide right-backs in Gamez & Yedlin but he starts Anita.....bona fide left-back in place but he starts you know who. Gayle was useless and should have been taken off earlier. Shelvey's distribution on long balls was piss poor, and Dutton's not much better. It was a worrisome nail-biting match with a happy ending.

I sincerely hope someone will come up with a stream I can watch over here, this once so far TV viewing in the Championship is the pits.

Well actually I thought England played quite well except for the strike-force who played like 3 wet Swan Vestas. No real credit to Fat Sam though as his choice of players wasn't much different from Hodgsons.

I think you can bet on Sissoko getting a lot of boos if he ever sets foot in St. James' Park again, and probably get some by Everton fans too, home and away this season. And rightly so for Evertonians, the fact they bid 30m, and made arrangements to fly him to Liverpool showed good intentions, and Sissoko must have given encouragement for them to do that. He's obviously a prick of the highest caliber and we're well rid of him.

I'm curious to know if the Everton deal would have been in installments like the one made with Spurs, and was the Andy Carroll deal made with installments or a cash deal with Liverpool.
