I fault Benitez for this 4 - 0 victory, if he had tweaked it a little better I'm sure it could have been 5 or 6, maybe more.

The Ref. has to be questioned, they committed 17 fouls and got 2 yellows. We committed 10 fouls and got 3 yellows and 2 reds.

The saddest part of not being able to salvage anything is their 2 goals were just plain sloppy. Too bad their 2nd had to be an own goal. Full credit to Darlow for saving 2 penalties, and he wasn't at fault for the 2 that went in. 50 lashes for Shelvey, and 20 lashes for Dummett. !st half was all Newcastle, lots of nice passing, but we really didn't threaten via shots on goal. Great display by 9 against 11, so sad we didn't hang on for a point. Another anonymous display by Perez. If Brighton win they'll knock us off the perch.

No I didn't Rayvin, the world seemed so much nicer then but I'm sure things did happen, and I believe that life in general was much more secretive than it is today. I am dubious and have to question the legitimacy of rotation, especially large scale rotation like the last 2 games........more than half the team both times!! 6 starting line-up changes against Blackburn meant a loss of 3 points. 6 starting line-up changes against Hull City (7 if you count Gayle) meant an exit from the League Cup... (plus no Perez or Nitro on the bench with the addition of Tiote). I'm a little worried about what and how many changes will occur on Friday. I know I belong to the old school (comes with age) in believing you shouldn't change a winning team............ unless you had an obvious weakness, or injuries. I was really surprised at the number of changes that followed the Leeds match.

Right; it's time for Noelie's critique. We should have put the game to bed in the 1st half. We should have put the game away against 10 men. We should have won the game but we didn't....... for fucks sake!! Diame is like a loose cannon without any balls. Where the fuck was our leading goal scorer.........wasn't it him that missed a penalty along with other chances. Lazaar was disappointing, I've been wanting to see him but I was expecting to see a driving offensive full back. Anita is lightweight as a defender, Yedlin should have played. Ritchie accomplished little. Shelvey is our No.1 penalty taker.........by virtue that he went first doon the netty. In spite of all that rhetoric we played quite well and should have won handily. I'm as sick as a fucking chip!

Six(6) changes again!! No Nitro or Perez on the bench. Tiote on the bench. Anita in place of Yedlin? Yedlin was our supposedly best player against Blackburn.

It would be foolish if Rafa played the 3 lads who are on 4 bookings. It's within the realm of possibility that all three could get booked again on Saturday and all three get a one match ban at the same time.

I think we should have somewhat of a feel-good about Sissoko, after all he brought 30 million quid into our coffers.

I thought Gayle's goals were a bit slavverly and lacked bite, and overall he put in a toothless performance.

Far be it from me to criticize Benitez but............................he should have yanked ppP(piss poor Perez).
