Walk outside to get the newspaper every morning (it gets thrown on the driveway) Do knee-bends at least once a day when I go to the netty (sometimes twice a day) Do sit-ups every day to get out of bed and put me socks & shoes on. Walk a fair distance every day (to the stove, fridge, netty, recliner-chair, bedroom (not forgetting for the newspaper) Do finger exercises on my remote & keyboard (not forgetting the phone)

No you're not alone in thinking that. I've said it before that I thought Saylor could do a good job at right-back. He's played there before and did a decent job. I think he could do a better job there than Wilson ............oops, Simpson.
-
Another 2 points doon the netty. Should have easily put the match to bed in the first half. At least we didn't lose which is some consolation. One point's better than none. Stupid Raylor, no need for that. Don't know why Pardew doesn't start the lone Ranger, he harries the defense more than Best.

Pardew: "I'll spend wisely in the summer".

Replacement for Ricky. Fuck's sake, thought he was a right back for some reason. The article even states that he's a LB. I must still be intoxicated. I think you got mixed up with Wilson. -
Tom, isn't that like saying if a soldier is seasoned/passionate enough it's alright to desert in the face of the enemy, without question?

Newcastle 4-4 Arsenal - Saturday 5th February K/O - 3:00pm
Noelie replied to Flair's topic in Newcastle Forum
Just got back from the hospital after having treatment for bruises on the head caused by hitting the ceiling each time we scored. Only comment to make is that I am better with my head than Best is. -
And Wilson's performance? Did he show up.
-
And so it goes. Toothless up front. Not much accomplished in the middle. Too many errant passes. Couldn't keep the ball once it was in their half. Never looked like pulling anything out of the bag. Deserved to lose. Pardew needs to rethink.

Out injured will be a couple of weeks What's ironic is that the 2 players Pardew is cedited with signing in the January window are both on an injured list and unable to play. Maybe we'll be able to use Ireland in a couple of weeks ..........maybe not. I think todays match will hinge on player-attitude and subsequent performence after the shock of Carroll's departure. They have been doing alright without him anyway so I just think it's going to be mental stability today.

C'mon lads, cheer up, nothing to worry about, we've still got Amoeba, Stranger, Luvvinwotshesface, and Lest, as our strike-force. Why we could even put Wilson up front.

Truth is; Ashly sat down with Andy and said ............ "Looky here Andrew, the Club is in finacial difficulties and only you, our native son, can be our saviour. I have failed miserably but you, and you alone, holds the answer to our problems. Let us sell you to Liverpool, Derek and I will be happy and you will be filthy rich. They are a bigger Club, they are higher up the table than we are, you won't win anything with us but you might with them. But if not you will still be filthy rich, they will pay you a lot more than we will. I know you want to stay with us but think about how good it will be for the Lads and how much money you will get. Oh, and do me a favour Andrew, now that everythings settled please ask for a transfer. That way it will take the heat off us and our loyal supporters will hate you a bit but you won't be here and you'll have all that money"

Liverpool bid £35 million+ for Carroll
Noelie replied to DesperateDannyB's topic in Newcastle Forum
MONEY TALKS CARROLL WALKS Odds are he would have gone to Blunderland if the offers had been the same as those offered at Liverpool. -
Watched the Fulham v Spurs match, Pardew was in the stands. (1) Was he slumming? (2) Was he in the Smoke looking for loan deals? (3) Was he spending time at home with friends & relatives? (4) Was he trying to cadge somebody from Harry?

BBC Sport are saying Ireland is close to signing on loan to Newcastle and it will be Pardew's second signing in the January window. They are refering to 'Hatem' as his first signing and I think it's rubbish if he gets the credit for that. 'Hatem' was already in house on loan before Pardew even arrived, he came during Hughton's reign.
-
Well it pretty much looks like a foregone conclusion that we won't be getting any new signings in the January window. Can't say I'm too surprised, as a longtime supporter I've got used to dashed hopes' C'mon Pardew, shock me with a last ditch signing.
-
You mean Wilson don't you? Actually I think Simpson's worst problem is his backing up and letting them into areas they should be kept out of. He jockeys the same way which in part was respnsible for Lennon's goal. He also gives the wingers too much space and doesn't close them down because of his retreating. He should be forcing them to stay out of the box, not letting them in.

I think Enrique displays an abundance of talent in many ways as a defender but, ......... I don't recall him showing his ability to put in that last ditch, necessary, right thing to do, sliding tackle that real good defenders can and will do. I guess being an old-timer, perfectly executed sliding tackles impress me and I expect to see them when called for. Most of my playing days were spent defending, first in midfield then at the back as I got older and slower. There are times I see Enrique bearing down on an opponent and it seems like like now is the time to slide but he never does. Now I'm not faulting anyone who stands on their feet all the time, more power to them, but I would just like Enrique to show me he has all the tools. As a boy, and I remember it well, being told if you don't get the ball, get the man.

Whilst I appreciate the loyalist optimism methinks we may be in for a spot of bother. Watched them play Man.Ure at the weekend and they looked good, very good.

I think Pardew knew before he came aboard all about Ashley's operation skills and transfer policies. I see Pardew's talk about Shola & Best as a smokescreen to cover his arse if he doesn't bring another striker in. I think Pardew is an Ashley/Lambias cockney mafia yes man and won't rock Ashley's boat. He'll play the game with the cards he's dealt and hope Ashley comes up with some trumps. Shola isn't much better than he has been over the years, no fulfillment of promise. And Best, so he scored three times in one game, what else has he done to prove we don't need another striker? Pardew is talking shite, that's my opinion.

To say I'm disappointed is the understatement of the year. What a time to lose 2 points when it seemed 3 were in the bag.

Don't listen to this fucking wanksplash mate, I actually live in Trafford. What part of Manchester have you moved to like? Its actually Salford but it might as well be fucking Manchester as Deansgate is bout 1min walk from my flat. Can see the wheel and the Cathedral from the window (just to give you an idea where I mean). From my seafaring days I remember Salford, the docks, and a pub called the Clowes, have a picture of it. It was a watering hole for lots of seamen. Wonder if it's still there.

Mr. Gemmill, is that the lass that broke yer heart cos she wasn't up for a second date, even though you were?
-
I have to think that sending someone off to Dubai is not the way you work on an injury or fitness level just prior to a crucial game. Something tells me Carroll is out but I hope to hell I am wrong.
-
Makes sense, was there to check the progress of one of his investments ......Gosling
-
If he's not going to play him it makes sense. It's only a month and Jose is over his virus. I guess what puzzles me is why Lee Clark could see him in a left-back position but Pardew prefers to play Perch there when Jose is out.
