In that case I think use of a taser of possibly rubber bullets would be fully justified. What a bellend. That pretty much sums up all the stars of that piece of video, tbh. Nobody comes out looking good from that - not even the oppressed brummie, on account of his accent. That's the thing, the guy may be an arsehole, but he's an arsehole acting completely legally. If you could be arrested for being an arsehole, then pretty much 100% of politicians and 90%+ of the police force would be currently in prison. It'd be pretty quiet on here too

I've unchecked the smtp box in the e email preferences bit and the mail started working straight away. This will only effect the security of e mails though right and has nowt to do with browsing etc? Thanks for your help btw. yeah turning smtp off will only affect emails (Secure Mail Transfer Protocol)....christ Im a sad arsed fuck!

in your SMTP settings try adding novalidate-cert at the end, that could sort it. eg if yours currently says something like smtp.mac.com/user=PARKLIFE then make it smtp.mac.com/user=PARKLIFE novalidate-cert

Police targeting 'trivial' crimes and alienating public.

That reads like sensible policing to me, warning people of the consequences of doing stupid (yet legal) things. Wrongly advising someone that they are committing a "hate crime" is NOT sensible policing. Saying it's their own fault if they get beat up for doing something perfectly legal is again NOT sensible policing. Actually I'm surprised you haven't come across the "illegal" pubic photo taking issue yet, given you seem to take a few. Admittedly I kinda missed the "hate crime" bit which is stupid. As for the public photos yes, Im aware of the problem however from what Ive seen so far it doesnt seem to be generally down to overzealous policing but actual directives from above with reference to the good old "anti terrorism act" -

There's been a massive increase complains from people doing perfectly legal and legitimate stuff (taking photos, demonstrating) being told that they are "breaking the law" when in fact they are doing no such thing (not just because of PCSO's either by full fat plod acting like this as well). That reads like sensible policing to me, warning people of the consequences of doing stupid (yet legal) things. -

The second bit doesn't make the first bit true though. I thought he was alright as well but I like him anyway. Agreed, Steven Hawkins is a better pundit than Crooks.
