I'm quite optimistic too. If we can get off to a good start - and Bolton always seemed to do that IIRC - and build up some confidence, we will have a good season. A lot depends on how the likes of Spurs, Villa and Man City will do though. I'm still glad that we've replaced Roeder, if he was still in charge today, everybody would be depressed and we'd be in a relegation struggle from day one.

Henman has ten times the talent of a lot of players ahead of him in the rankings. Talent has never been his problem IMO.

They sound like people with qualifications, which makes a nice change from the previous clowns who were on the board because they were related to the Shepherds and Halls.

He always does. Probably a nice bloke off the pitch, but I don't like what he stands for on the pitch: his game is all about power and strength. He's not fit to tie Federer's laces when it comes to technique and vision.
