Howmanheyman 43835
Really sorry to hear about today's news from all involved, seems to be the way that more shit happens when you get older or bad memories come around? I hope just talking on here brings some modicum of light relief if possible? On a slightly lighter note it's thirty years today since my first date with the missus and twenty nine since we got engaged a year later. Trouble is I thought the 13th was tomorrow!!
Craig 12329
Oh fuck, it's the 13th? That means me and this missus have been together 3 years today!
Monkeys Fist 50628
My sympathies go out to Toonpack and Renton, and thanks to everyone for your support. But let’s be honest, whilst mine, TP and Renton’s problems are a pain in the hole, there’s one here that is going to need the whole community on here to rally round, and even that might not be enough … … RIP @Howmanheyman, it was fun knowing you mate.
Ayatollah Hermione 17231
Awful to hear everyone’s various issues, they definitely seem to rear their heads this time of year. Can see why people dislike Christmas as they get older

Just make her one of your Microsoft paint specials for your 30th anniversary with both of your heads superimposed onto a famously romantic couple (Fred and Rose or Andrew and Fergie for instance). She’ll be like putty in your hand.
sammynb 4167
MF, Toonpack, and Rents, sorry to hear about the terrible things going on in your lives at the moment. As others have said hopefully things improve and anything you can do to improve the situation works. As AH said, this time of year never helps emotionally or financially when things are not good. And Ciaoman (and Craig for that matter) hope you were able to scrape something together to save the situation in time. In the hope of filling this thread with a bit of positive news, I no longer have piss in a bag on my leg and a mate has loaded me up with some medical grade skunk - all aboard the Gemmill train
aimaad22 5957
Echoing what others have said, the world can be a proper shite place at times. Really hope things take a turn for the better for all involved.
RobinRobin 14489
I was going to say that I had viewed the live stream of my father's memorial service the other day, but it seemed crass in the light of everyone else's much more serious issues (especially HMHM - may he rest in pieces peace). The sound was dreadful during the eulogy, due to my cousin who gave it being too tall and the microphone being too short, but unfortunately, the vicar's drone came through perfectly. Anyway, seems I (and my wife and his only grandchild) have been airbrushed from the family. I suppose one makes one's choices and have to live with them. Anyway - @Howmanheyman
toonotl 4657
I'd also like to add to everyone else in wishing Renners, TP, and MF all the best. It's really sad to hear about all the terrible things going on. Not that I know you guys irl, of course, but from interactions on here you're all just stellar people and deserve the best in life. So here's hoping that things improve for all of you and quickly.❤️ 6

Anyway - @Howmanheyman History is written by the winners and having just been to funeral the other week for a relative of the wife's it was yet another one where it's confirmed a funeral eulogy is written by whoever gets to talk to the priest/humanist doing the funeral. Unfortunately in the vast majority of cases it seems other people get to pick the deceased words which unfortunately and invariably becomes their whole POV on the deceased life and their relationship with the deceased. My condolences for having to hear it, RR. 2
Howmanheyman 43835
Btw, the wife was ok with it as she knows I haven't 'forgotten' about it as we've been planning to go out on either today or tomorrow all week so she knows I've genuinely just got the days mixed up. spongebob toonpants 5183
Doesn't compare what everyone else is going through, but I had a vivid dream about being on holiday with my Mum this morning and was absolutely crushed when I woke up and remembered she died ten years ago
NJS 5277
I dream about my Mam and Dad and best mate who died 5 years ago quite often - I've come to welcome it for the most part but sometimes get upset within the dream when I catch on that something "isn't right". The human brain or at least mine is fucked up sometimes.

Craig 12329
Finding it tough at the moment. Think I mentioned that I have 3 really close mates and 2 of them have been diagnosed with advance-stage cancer. One of the was told to admit himself on the back of a routine check last weekend which I was just about coping with .... and then the 2nd one went downhill towards the end of last week. A step too far and I've gone into denial, shutdown and just all round irritable. I've warned nearest and dearest that I'm best avoided at the moment but inevitably I've clashed and been short-tempered. Just all round shite really.
