There is a very strong historical background as to why every american feel the need to have a gun, afaik its even in their constitution - the right to have one. Americans ( and especially the south) fear the government turning on them more than external enemies - countries within a country really.

There could be one of these shootings every week and it wouldn't change the general American opinion on gun laws.

 

RIP to the dead. Another needless massacre.

 

Completely agree. How can gun law still be this lax in the 21st century in a supposed civilised country. Just, an absolute tragedy.

 

 

 

Edit: by lax i mean that guns are available at all. When civilians are able to have access to guns, other civilians are in danger, no matter how extensive the psychological background check/review may be on the potential licensee.
