If he does somehow limp on to the next General Election it would be great if he lost his seat as part of a crushing defeat for the Tories. It’s not beyond the realms of possibility either

JRM is another one who’s nowhere near as clever as he thinks he is

He'd already said similar earlier in the day, so to send him on national TV last night looks pretty fucking stupid.

He had a public engagement today, the pathetic coward.

Wonder if they're just gonna leak whatever is still left to come out while he's doing his isolation in some attempt to have him come back to a clean slate.

He doesn't need to isolate if he is testing negative on lateral flow does he? From the government site:

When you do not need to self-isolate

If you live with or have been in contact with someone with COVID-19, you will not need to self-isolate if any of the following apply:

  • you're fully vaccinated – this means 14 days have passed since your final dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine
  • you're under 18 years old
  • you're taking part or have taken part in an approved COVID-19 vaccine trial
  • you're not able to get vaccinated for medical reason

No, because it’s another badly thought out strategy that most will see through because he has no credibility left. They haven’t said who it is (conveniently), he doesn’t actually need to isolate (so he can do whatever he pleases) but he can cancel things like his trip to Lancashire, planned for today, say he’s ‘following the guidelines’ by limiting contacts or some other vague bollocks. All so he doesn’t look like the bumbling tit when asked awkward questions.
I also think there’s more (possibly a lot more to come). It’s never been confirmed where he actually was when he went awol over Xmas. I wouldn’t be surprised if that leaked out next

Yeah he's hiding and yes, it does seem there is more shit in the pipeline for him.

He's thick as pigshit like. Why the fuck would any politically savvy operator needlessly break the rules like this knowing it could come back to haunt them, make them vulnerable to blackmail or at the very least vulnerable to political attack? All he had to do was not have a massive fuck off party in his garden at the height of restrictions.

It’s all a legacy of his filling his cabinet and other ministerial posts with people loyal over people with talent. Apart from the lack of talent (arguably a problem across his party but that’s a different matter) it creates another problem. You might think you’re getting loyalty but what you’re actually getting is blind ambition. That is, people who’ll go along with any old shit for a promotion. What then happens is they will betray you as soon as it becomes convenient for their careers.
Which indeed ties in with Johnson being thick as pig’s shit for not realising this, especially as he’s got no morals or principles himself

Not sure about the legalities but if I was one of those students fined 10k for organising parties I'd be looking at appealing or suing when the met inevitably fail to prosecute.
