Democracy doesn't work because people are fucking muppets. If England was allowed to vote on Scotland's independence, we'd vote them out not because it made sense, but 'just to show 'em, the bastards'. Conversely, I suspect many Scottish people are voting for that reason too. All the while, all political options are basically the same but word what they do slightly differently to each other. I'd go for Benevolent dictatorships. All day long. If they get out of hand - violent uprising. Rinse and repeat. Anything is better than this shit.
