Worth noting that the likes of George Floyd won't show up on that graph, he wasn't shot to death by police, he was suffocated by them and he isn't the only one. There's a reason "I can't breathe" has

Iirc the cases he’s bringing against these states won’t go to the Federal Supreme Court but those states Supreme Court. The most that would happen from that is perhaps a recount, as it’s complete fuck

They are simultaneously too ineffective to stop Trump when he succeeds and too powerful to overcome whenever he fails to deliver. Just like "antifa", which are both a terrifying scourge that law enfor

Though your second amendment could do with a bit of work.

The way some Americans deify the Constitution is mental. Screaming you can't change it and must abide by it as it was written. Even though arguably the most famous parts of it are the fucking amendments.

If he accepts the pardon, it will imply guilt, and will take away his right to invoke the 5th Amendment in future.

The powers of pardon and clemency exist to give the executive branch a check on the judiciary. During the arguments for ratification of the Constitution, many feared that an unelected judiciary who held their positions for life would lead to tyranny, so the Founding Fathers wrote in safety valves. The Constitution is not "tinpot" whatsoever - it is a magnificent work of art that has persisted through the centuries. The problem is the character of the men who uphold it.

So that's why Trump hasn't pardoned himself or any of his offspring...its an admission of guilt. Not sure of Bannon will accept his tbh

It's real, but obviously it's mainly just being awkward at this stage, given it'll be overturned straight away under the new administration. But it's more red tape for them to untangle.

What an absurd country. All this emotion pouring out, people nearly crying but the life of most Americans won’t change at all.

The door is ajar for “Smart” Trump, if such a person exists.

Nah, I'm a cynic too but I think the catharsis is absolutely necessary after the last four years. Plenty of problems to be addressed, but it's fine for them to have this day.

Whilst the left are telling people what they should think there'll be people on the right taking advantage and tapping into their prejudices. Would you rather be a gay teenager being accommodated by a radgey homophobe or somewhere with genuinely liberal values?

Put Biden's speech on for the craic, complete polar opposite to a Trump ego party! Spoke well for his age 😄

I like his steady grandad tone. No one will ever be the orator that Obama is but Biden would appear to be pitching his public utterances just right...won’t make a blind bit of difference to the MAGAs but if he doesn’t start a war, reforms health care and creates a few jobs he’ll be ok..having majority in the house will help :good:

His use of "Unity" was pretty extensive, definitely the buzz word of his campaign and message. Massive job trying to repair the US, it is in pieces. For anyone it is a huge task but someone his age even bigger, can't help but feel Kamala Harris will be in the driving seat for the majority of the time.
