That’s a bit strong. He could hardly be considered a player whilst employed by Newcastle.

Nicked off twitter:

Pope - 4 months out, dislocated shoulder could be a long term issue

Tripps - mental breakdown, currently injured
Schar - constant niggles somehow carries on
Botman - nursing injury for too long, out until the summer
Burn - broke back hasn't been the same since
Targett - missed most of the season
Lascelles - ACL out for 6-9 months
Longstaff - nursing injury all season & gone to shit
Bruno - fit but not the same trying to avoid suspension for weeks on end
Joelinton - out for months
Willock - missed most of the season
Barnes - barely kicked a ball & been out for most of the season
Tonali - 10 month ban
Anderson - out for months with broken back
Wilson - missed months of the season
Isak - missed loads of the season & nursing a groin injury when he does play
Almiron - season of niggles
Murphy - out for weeks with dislocated shoulder
Dubravka - was playing through a mystery illness

Dummett getting another 12months on his contract?

We really could have done with a Wilson and Almiron upgrade, but CB is surely now our first priority in the Summer.

Might be worth trying to turn Gordon or Barnes into a RW

Aye Wilson and Almiron upgrades were desperately needed. Who knows whats possible now. Lascelles might have been a candidate to sell as well if he wanted first team football.

Incredible that not only have injuries completely overwhelmed this campaign but are already directly affecting what we do in the summer and next season too.

Daily Mail (ergh) linking Arsenal & Spurs (lmao) with a move for Isak for £100m.

I'll fucking boot off if we sell him.

By boot off I mean I'll type angry posts on this messageboard.

Him and Bruno for £100m a piece would cause absolute outrage (on twatter), but would give us a game changing amount of PSR wiggle room.

I hope both stay but if they do leave for a combined £200m and we end up with 6-7 improvements to the squad including a Sesko type striker, a left footed/younger Trippier for left back, a right winger with two feet (and probably two centre backs now) then I'd probably end up happy in the end.

All of this assumes that Tonali comes back in as a ready made replacement for Bruno and Joelinton signs a new contract. Joelinton leaving would piss me off more than Bruno tbh and I appreciate that is probably just me thinking that.

Hope is saying he'll be back by the end of the season and making a late push for the Euros squad.

Michael Owen has joined the conversation. 🙂

Isak, for me, is the one player we cannot sell. Goals win games. And he is a truly top-tier goalscorer.

Yup:

I saw someone on Twitter earlier saying he’s 25/1 for the league’s top scorer so I had a bit of that.
