Liverpool are the victims of Newcastle greed. Thoughts and prayers.

Clearly those bastards at the top have no consideration for the sensitive times that Liverpool have been through this summer.

If the club actually said all those things then we are preparing to reintegrate him. 'Badly advised' and 'sympathy'. That is a shot across the bow at Liverpool already.

Really pleased with that statement if it is actually from the club.

Romano conspicuous by his absence btw.  Isak is all he's fucking posted about for weeks and he's the only one not reporting on Liverpool saying they aren't returning with a second bid.

I'll be amazed if there isn't another bid, but they're so far off with the first one it seems unlikely they'll get close to the right number.

I wouldn't rule out Liverpool putting in a late bid for Sesko now that Nunez is close to going to Saudi.

I'd love to know what was said for them to have their noses put out of joint. Hopefully Isak might think twice about putting all his eggs in one basket when he sees what they value him at. Liverpool were just looking to spend the Coutinho money+interest after all these years.

The various talking heads online seem to be claiming that this is a "classic negotiation technique". They bid low then walk away when we say no, only to come back later once we apparently realise that we have to sell the player no matter what at the end of August  Not sure about that one like. We don't particularly need the money right now and selling him with no replacement is largely the same as him refusing to play as far as our season goes - and realistically I doubt it comes to that anyway.

The only other scenario is that Isak refuses to play but that’s playing career roulette, especially with World Cup year coming up.

I’m sure the righteous bin dippers would be up in arms about such behaviour from an incoming player, as they boo’d TAA for simply running is contract down.

I strongly doubt he does that given everything we know about him. I think of all the stakeholders in this, Isak is the one most boxed into a corner now.
