Daftarse 72
Alex I-snake has now officially implied that Eddie Howe is a liar. The club need to come out all guns blazing now against this cnut and his agent. Edited August 19 by Daftarse

Rayvin 8362
Just now, Toonpack said: where's he absolving Liverpool, it his final throw of the dice to get a cut price move to them. So the narrative against Liverpool is they've unsettled him this summer, specifically in the past 5 weeks. If Isak is claiming that he's been 'unsettled' for a year because of something that happened internally, then he is saying that their actions in the past 5 weeks had nothing to do with his decision. If anything, it feels more likely that he would have reached out to them rather than the other way around, given how he's framing it.

It is pretty obvious that any promise like that can’t be unconditional.
Rayvin 8362
I do want to set out that I agree with everyone else - he doesn't leave for less than 150m and he's fined into oblivion in the meantime. Whatever he was promised, this has been a shitshow. Moreover, he could have been a fucking man about it and signed a new deal with us this summer anyway - and given that Mitchell is gone, who is it exactly that he has lost trust with?
Polarboy 2770
Yeah as far as I can recall it was supposed to Amanda and Mehrdad who promised him an improved deal, and then Mitchell said no. So you're telling me that he's been stewing since last July when they left, given he'd have to question what was going to happen to that promise after their departure, and he only kicked off after preseason had been back, what a week? I suppose it's possible that he was told we'd reengage in contract talks at that time, with Mitchell gone, and didn't like what he heard. As someone said though, regardless of what's true or not someone's vague promises mean nothing compared to a written agreement.

Holden McGroin 9903
I’d offer him one route out of the club and that would be to a PiF owned Saudi club where they in turn will NEVER sell on to Liverpool.

The time is right?) Either that or the upper echelons of the ownership have got wind of what he’d verbally agreed to and have told him to resign before he was sacked. One thing I can’t get my head around though is the adidas shirt launch at the Irish Centre. Why do that (both Isak & the club) if what’s been suggested is going on behind the scenes?
GrahamTaylor5 1783
Bloody hell. He seemed like an alright lad as well. Shows that you never know (players seemed just as shocked as us fans). I wonder what has happened with Mitchell or whoever it is who he thinks has screwed him over. He is 100% in the wrong but I do believe that something has happened that has caused upset even if it is his misunderstanding. Liverpool have also screwed him over here. My naivety would love Liverpool to walk away to show how they have screwed him over but, if that did happen, it would just boil down to is and Isak looking like idiots. They are such a scummy club.

IF (big if) you believe him, which apparently you are desperate to do. I say again, why the I'm happy interviews, why the kit launch, why the supportive/encouraging of his move posts on Elanga's Instagram. It just doesn't add up at all. Things only started to come out when the dippers dabled. I think the wider squad know the truth and Bruno's photo he posted paints a thousand words.

I'm not desperate to believe him, I just don't know why he'd hang himself out to dry like this if it wasn't the truth. I mean look at this thread, he's getting fucking pelters - it'll be like that all over the shop. He's already been getting pelters for how he's handled this. It just seems like he's absolutely committed to being a lightning rod for all the negative madness around this. I can take or leave whether my interpretation is true, I just don't see any sense in his statement if this all started happening in the past 5 weeks. The contract thing we knew about from long before this, I might add. We knew the club had turned him down for a contract at the start of last season - there were even reports of Howe having to get players settled again - which sounds like it would have been Isak. The point I'm trying to make that maybe isn't coming across here is that even if his version is true, it makes him no less of a cunt. It's still been handled disgracefully and unprofessionally. It's just that it also means Liverpool were just being opportunistic. We'll know in the end I suppose if they come back with another bid. If they do, I'm inclined to agree with you. If they don't, or we reach out to them, then I think Isak was likely telling the truth here.
Craig 12383
What is our official legal recourse? Can the club terminate his contract for gross misconduct? Sue him for breach of contract? Seek an injunction to stop him playing for another club for the duration of his original contract? I mean he’s made his own position untenable
