Extremely forgettable game that. Bruno and Tonali both off their game today as were Murphy and Isak.

I would have taken a point before the game but thought we were the better team and would have won if we’d been a bit more clinical. Pope barely touched the ball all game

Bruno has been shite today

In fairness he had nothing with him in midfield Tonali was atrocious and Willock may as well not have been on the park.

We never get anything at Brighton and things really didn’t fall for us so I’ll take that all day

Awful game, they should have been down to ten men like. How VAR can spend ages on the penalty claims but miss an obvious red card that was AT LEAST a yellow is beyond me.

Everyone was

I thought Barnes was pretty good overall, Trippier defensively was good, Burn and Schär were ok as well.

I'd have taken that result given our record there and the way things were going today.

Need to beat Chelsea and Everton at home and hope thats enough. It should be.

Hopefully the end product improves massively. We still deserved a point at least. Brighton were shite and barely gave us trouble.

Can anyone picking out individual players as being poor please name who played well?

Trippier defensively. Barnes movement was good he was our biggest threat on the day. Tino was good too other than the goal when he looked crocked, good movement and link up play as well as some good tackles.

Agreed offensively they were all off it today.

I'd be starting Miley over Willock in the next match. He just looks off the pace

Pretty bad body language as well. Throwing his arms up in frustration about poor passes by team mates when his own passing as well as decision making was rather frustrating.

Pope. Perfectly timed his pretend injury.

This Liverpool side is hopefully still strong enough to get something against Chelsea. With any luck it works in our favour that he's resting some of the paggered lads.

Well that was rough. Glad we got a point in the end, we need to stop worrying about overtaking Arsenal and focus on just getting over the line. A point is ok as long as we beat Chelsea next weekend.

Positives

- A point at a ground we usually lose at.

- Another point gained from a losing position. Remember seeing stats years ago about our inability to come from behind to salvage anything. We are resilient.

- Save for the goal and the shocking header by Gomez at the end, they created nothing.

Negatives

- We were so blunt in the final third until Gordon game on.

- Missing Joelinton, who doesn't let the opposition sleep. Brighton misplaced a few passes but their players let it bobble under their feet with limited pressure. Willock is not that player.

- Willock is a luxury player in my opinion & very streaky in form. At the moment, he's not on it and he had opportunities to create something today.

- Squad depth is poor from a creative perspective. Imagine that'll be addressed this summer.

I'd have taken a point before KO and it could be a huge one, come the end of May. Thought Barnes was good & is moving away from either scoring but being largely absent, to being a driving force regardless of goal contributions. That game missed Joelinton and Lewis Hall, who I think is a clever ball mover in the attacking third - creates angles others don't.

We move onto a big one next week.

We played a truly terrible game today.

If we had won today, I think we'd pretty much sealed our Champions League spot. But we didn't.

Now we'll have to wait for the results from Forest and Chelsea...

There are three final rounds coming up that could be very tough.
