LondonBlue 1072 Posted Tuesday at 15:01 Share Posted Tuesday at 15:01 The funniest outcome will be if Arsenal finish 3rd in a 2 horse race. Bottle It champions for how many years in a row?

Sky did a graphic, which I think Andrew posted on here somewhere that showed since mid December we are either first or, at worst, second best on every metric they had. I second the honourable gentleman's chill the fuck out motion.

aimaad22 5053 Posted Tuesday at 17:27 Share Posted Tuesday at 17:27 I'll doubtless be pissing meself on Sunday because of the importance of the game but I have confidence in the lads, at home. I think the game wont be as easy as past home fixtures against Chelsea have been. They're in good form and have pace on the wings, but it also means we'll have more space to attack in if they decide to take the game to us. I can see us edging it, hopefully. Not sure about Arsenal away, they've been shite recently in the league but we're not reliable away from home, even a point would be massive. The natural bedwetter in everyone expects at this point for rivals to get max points from their remaining games, it really shouldnt be that way as this league has shown time and again, hopefully still some unexpected dropped points for Chelsea and Forrest to come.

This will be an Eddie Howe 'special' tactics event with a tweak to the formation / roles / marking to facilitate closing down Palmer and restricting delivery to their wide men. Whether it's Sandro given that defensive assignment or someone else remains to be seen. Could even see Botman come into the team with Schär marking Palmer. Offensively I'm expecting Isak to play a little deeper with Gordon and Barnes primed to counter down the flanks.

Even close to Arsenal would be embarrassing for them in my opinion giving this is our worst season in a while. Anfield will be bouncing when Arsenal go there, can definitely see the possibility of any result. I think Arsenal will get torn apart. Then it's in your hands, beat a broken Arsenal and you can finish above them. Arsenal: 67 - Liverpool (A), Newcastle (H), Southampton (A) Man City: 64 - Southampton (A), Bournemouth (H), Fulham (A) Newcastle: 63 - Chelsea (H), Arsenal (A), Everton (H) Chelsea: 63 - Newcastle (A), Man Utd (H), Nottingham Forest (A) Nottingham Forest: 61 - Leicester (H), West Ham (A), Chelsea (H) Aston Villa: 60 - Bournemouth (A), Tottenham (H), Man Utd (A) My dream final table City 73 - win all 3 You 70 - draw with Chelsea and win the other 2. Villa 69 - win all 3 Chelsea 68 - beat Man United and draw with you and Forest. Forest 68 - draw with Chelsea and win the other 2. Arsenal 68 - lose to you and liverpool and bottle it to draw with southampton when needing to win ideally these results will be fuelled by some dodgy refereeing and awful VAR calls. legohead gets sacked
Rayvin 6576 Posted Wednesday at 10:22 Share Posted Wednesday at 10:22 Aye, not sure anyone will miss Arteta. Arsenal are such a weird team, it feels like they let their desire for some sort of methodological purity get the better of their desire to win. No matter what they're doing, what style they're playing, they're rigid as fuck with it.
Howmanheyman 38274 Posted Wednesday at 12:16 Share Posted Wednesday at 12:16 Just noticed that villa and Chelsea play man u and spurs before their EL final then villa play man u after it so that's six points for villa and three for Chelsea. Must win for us v the cockney blue cheats.
