Just noticed that villa and Chelsea play man u and spurs before their EL final then villa play man u after it so that's six points for villa and three for Chelsea. Must win for us v the cockney blue cheats.

having a pint with me brother in rosies after the match and discussing what's needed in the final 2 games.

ended up having a fiver bet because he was adamant 67 points will guarantee cl qualification. I think not.

before we play arsenal i think there's every likelihood there'll be 3 of us on 66 points, it's not beyond the bounds of possibility we could drop a place on gd to chelsea because man utd are that bad/indifferent to the league.

arsenal becomes a must not lose.

I think forest are fucked now, we've arguably got the trickiest of the final day fixtures.

In a dream world Forest would get beat (or even draw) with West Ham then beat Chelsea.

we’d only need a point to be safe.

Chelsea's away form has been poor this season. Particularly against the beter teams.

in a dream world we beat arsenal at their place to go 2nd guaranteeing cl qualification barring a mathematical miracle.

we'd be set up for what would be the climax to the most successful season in my lifetime, (well, all of our lifetimes!) in a sjp which will be rocking to its fucking foundations!  :)

To up the dream further, Pickford to concede an absolute last minute howler to gift us the game and then soil himself in front of the Gallowgate.

I wouldn't be surprised to see more points dropped by our CL rivals either. There's only Villa and us that picked up maximum points at the weekend, even though Man City and Forest were playing two of the relegated clubs.

As shit as Man United have been, they always spawn a result up every now and again, and they're long overdue to do that. Obviously they're distracted at the minute, but you never know.

Man City have got the FA Cup final at the weekend, and Bournemouth at home 3 days later. That's a candidate if Bournemouth turn up a not better than they did v Villa the other night.

Man United, Liverpool and Spurs, particularly spurs and the mancs haven't had a lot of negativity thrown their way over just given up on the league now they have a back door chance of the CL. That's their prerogative but they've definitely been given a free pass by the sports media. An honest league? It's anything but for so many reasons.

With Spurs and Man United I think it speaks to how dysfunctional the two clubs are. Look at Palace - in the FA Cup Final and can't stop winning, with players presumably playing for a spot in the final.

Spurs and Man United players could not give a fuck and their managers can't get them to care.

Different story with Liverpool but they showed some segments of play on MOTD2 where they were just allowing Arsenal to pass the ball through their midfield, with no pressure on the all and no one even moving above walking pace. Maybe it's understandable when you've had the season they've had, I don't know.

But with Man United and Spurs in particular, it absolutely reeks

Got to say if Arsenal could only manage a draw against a team who couldn’t be arsed I hope our lot have a real go.

I don’t get my hopes up. Ideally both, ”United“  and Spurs sort themselves out and get a result, even a draw in either game would be fantastic. Knowing our luck both set of cunts do their usual stuff to harm us. I am more confident in teams like Leicester doing us a favour than any big team. Not for a particular reason but just how our luck normally works out.

In the end nothing has changed for a couple of weeks. Our fate is in our own hands. We just need one win. I am pretty sure we can win either game. We have shown we can lose either game as well this season but as long as we as well as others we should be fine.

I think you’re forgetting that it’s only the lesser clubs that need to maintain the integrity of the competition

Not so long ago that that held a completely different meaning here.

Their slide down the table is costing them more also which is always nice. Amorim and Postecoglu have lost the plot and arrogantly painted themselves into the corner. The repercussions from the EL final and the season in general should be rather interesting.

Listening to Amorim talk, it sounds like he wants the sack anyway. All he ever says is how shit his team is and how rubbish things are, lately he's said he'll probably get the sack too. I'm amazed he hasn't been told to shut his trap, it can't be helping the players and suggests a lack of leadership across the board at that club. No doubt Sir Jim will sack everyone at the end of the season and the fiasco will continue after yet another expensive reset of staff snd players. Lovely. Not sure about Spurs but I can't imagine Ange will survive the summer either no matter what happens. He's another one who talks too much (bloody aussies,eh?)

Ideally we get the same scenario at ManU that began this season with slaphead getting sacked not long after buying a bunch of players. In saying that, I’d prefer Spurs to win EL which might be the final nail for Amorim.

All-in-all I’m not too bothered who wins it as a CL campaign is unlikely to help either them much. Definitely despise ManU whereas Spurs are kinda just amusing. But really I think ManU and Spurs decline seems much more like a definite product of the topbrass having no conception of how to run a club in the PSR landscape rather than a blip that can be fixed by one lucrative CL campaign.
