Eddie’s stronger squad, which will bounce back after a turgid game against Leeds with the new Crouch and Defoe, vs Wolves

Really interested to see our approach to this one.

We're miles better than wolves but with two new forwards in who've been on international duty and Gordon now suspended I really don't know how we're going to line up up front.

Joelinton hasn't been confirmed fit so he might be swapped out for Ramsey in midfield as well.

3-1 to us.

I read somewhere yesterday big Joe was 100%, hopefully Eddie's pc will clarify.

Could well be in better nick than Bruno as per what Ewerks said.

In which case we might see Tonali, Joelinton and Ramsey as our starting midfield.

Its really nice to not be really worried about a dip in quality if one of our main trio isn't available.

+1

Sometimes these come before the comfortable 3-0's, we don't know who'll be playing, what shape they're in or if they're fully on board or in tune with how we play? Three games without a win isn't really good enough but largely thanks to shit planning and a Swedish rat it's the pressure we now have.

With a few players on long haul fights and strikers that have barely met their team mates, I’d take any sort of scrappy, dysfunctional win.

i don’t think the press will be efficient with strikers that are unaccustomed and tired international players backing them up.

Worth giving Bruno a rest given he played in Bolivia on Wednesday and we have Barca coming up mid week?

Howe will start Bruno and our strongest side and look to give him and a few others an early sub to keep the legs somewhat fresh. So it will be out of the gates at 100%. Really we need the win here to officially launch our season.

Aye, has a feel of the home game against Brentford a couple of years ago where we had lost a couple on the bounce. Was scrappy as owt and needed a Wilson pen but we did it

He's tried for it before but we've not capitalised on strong starts by scoring goals and he had to keep players out there longer than he wanted. Now we have a stronger and deeper squad with the likes of Murphy, Ramsey, Hall, Thiaw, Woltemade and Miley on the bench we can make changes just about anywhere. For me it would be trying to give our midfield three a shorter stint, as well as two of four from Murphy for Elanga, Hall for Trippier, Thiaw for Schär or Woltemade for Wissa.

The best possible outcome in this game is that we get some early goals and then dominate with the ball so that we can pick and choose the subs based off blooding new and returning players instead of preserving legs.

Home game, Wolves will do their best to frustrate and quieten the crowd who might not be at all guns given it's a 3pm Saturday and stale from a long international break. Lack of excitement but get the job done. 2-1 (JSL).

Wolves have lost all 3 games so far. We're usually the perfect antidote for a team in that sort of form, but I'm hoping Wissa will slot in and look like he's been playing for us for years.

no excuses. we're better than these. wissa will start and score. we'll fly out of the blocks to win the game in the first half before resting loads of the big guns second half and cruising to a routine 3-0 win
