  1. Past hour
  2. i heard it and yes he said it but i think it's a little bit of the way some guys speak with exaggeration to emphasize points. not really the english way so sounds odd. you'll laugh but it is a fact that city normally go into every season with a small squad. by which i mean less than 25. our registered squad this season has 21 players (fewer than Arsenal) - premier league squads (includes Gonzalez and Marmoush but excludes Walker) that doesn't include some kids like OReilly and Bobb but does the likes of McAtee small squad makes it harder to manage significant injuries this season. Rodri, Stones and Ake appearances are rarer than a dodo. and there were many other long term injuries. no sympathy asked for as i know i'd get none.. don't care either as thats not what footballs about. back to your point. KDB leaving. he's one of the highest paid players at the club but starts less than 50% of games. his performances are not what they were. high class moments mask his mistakes. so its probably the right time. also city need to manage the post KDB era and i'd like to have Pep in charge for that. other leavers ? defence... i can see Stones going back to everton, but either way i think his time is done. Ake's injuries worse. think his time is up too. Walker - milan don't want him but i doubt we see him back Akanji seems to have lost a yard this season after his injuries. i think we'll 1 maybe 2 fullbacks midfield (currently full of uncles).... Uncle Kev off. Uncle Gundo has triggered 1 year extension Uncle Kovacic is a stop gap. love him but he's old. Uncle Bernados legs have gone as has his zip and zestiness attack... grealish time feels like it might be up. he's been tried more central so who knows, Savinho seems to be struggling to make a real impact but many players do in their first season at city. wow, i see why the missus says i go on about football too much!
  3. I specifically didn't use Isak as an example because the same thought occurred to me That said, I doubt anyone on the Arsenal side would have been able to keep that quiet if it were true.
  4. The support given from Akrotiri is the key to the blood on UK hands imo. Materially and with "intelligence" given the number of "Oh dear we seem to have bombed a refugee camp/school/hospital!/nursery" incidents.
  5. you think maybe this is why isak didn't play against arsenal?
  6. It is a bit odd in a way though. Imagine Chelsea go in to sign Elanga from Forest and the deal gets wrapped up in the past few weeks. Is the player going to be able to play properly knowing that if he helps Forest win, he won't play CL football next year? I appreciate that they could just drop him, but it's still a bit weird as a scenario.
  7. Naah, you were right the first time, even by SW standards, Solo was truly shit. I bought the fucker on Blu ray too.
  8. oy @Gemmill, look at this for a chart, eat your fucking heart out and weep.....
  9. Hang on a minute! I can take being called a cunt, but bringing my fuckin' eloquence into question?.. that is another matter!
  10. De Bruyne and Grealish off this summer either way of course. Actually has @LondonBlue mentioned that, what is the view on KDB leaving?
  11. Maybe terrible is too harsh, but it's not a good film.
  12. He spent what? 100 mill in January? he’s brilliant and all that but he can go fuck himself with this. Sounds like he’s been fibbing to @LondonBlue and his mates and wants out after all….
  13. Well I for one hope they refuse to reduce the squad size and off he can pop. As long as they don't come for Howe.
  14. Yeah it's an interesting one. Can only imagine he's being totally sincere about the reasons for that statement tbh, since if anything he'd only be making his life harder.
  15. Today
  16. Pep threatening to quit unless Man City reduce the size of their squad. It's difficult to have much sympathy here given the repeated success they've had - you need a sizeable squad to be able to deliver it and surely in these days of 20-player match day squads, the horse has bolted on this.
  17. We've supposedly suspended talks on some trade deal or another, but I doubt it counts for anything already in motion. I'm not even convinced we're not still flying surveillance for them.
  18. Are we simultaneously still licensing BAE in Washington to sell them ammunition to bomb women and children to smithereens? Because if we are this protest is nothing but virtue signalling…
  19. That's an interesting prediction. Let's see if it all comes true.
  20. Ah, the adidas three stripes on another shirt? Fair enough, I wondered what you going on about? Fair cop. (And you don't get many of them!)
  21. Me too. Well there was that plus the series just seemed to be drifting for little plot advancement, like so many do. They just become soap operas, miserable ones at that. I've just watched S2E2 of the Last of Us and tbh that's not looking promising either. One implausible revenge story changed to another. Really feels like a video game now, shallow. Most stories have one great series in them and then just milk it. There are of course exceptions. Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and Game of Thrones all had defined story arcs, even if the latter was awful in the end.
  22. neither of which won goal of the month 🙄
