  1. Past hour
  2. in a dream world we beat arsenal at their place to go 2nd guaranteeing cl qualification barring a mathematical miracle. we'd be set up for what would be the climax to the most successful season in my lifetime, (well, all of our lifetimes!) in a sjp which will be rocking to its fucking foundations!
  3. Gonna be a difficult one at the next election. If the recent mayoral vote is anything to go by (Labour beat reform by <500 votes), I might be in a position where not voting Labour means I end up with a Reform MP. In that situation, and as shit as I think this government is, I think I'd still have to give them my vote.
  4. Chelsea's away form has been poor this season. Particularly against the beter teams.
  5. Last 6 games Man Utd: W0 L5 D1 Spurs: W0 L5 D1 Absolute shite.
  6. I disagree. Liverpool would have completely discarded him if he was shite. He had a contract. It ran out. Thats football, as they say.
  7. In a dream world Forest would get beat (or even draw) with West Ham then beat Chelsea. we’d only need a point to be safe.
  8. How many immigrants are allowed to vote though?
  9. having a pint with me brother in rosies after the match and discussing what's needed in the final 2 games. ended up having a fiver bet because he was adamant 67 points will guarantee cl qualification. I think not. before we play arsenal i think there's every likelihood there'll be 3 of us on 66 points, it's not beyond the bounds of possibility we could drop a place on gd to chelsea because man utd are that bad/indifferent to the league. arsenal becomes a must not lose. I think forest are fucked now, we've arguably got the trickiest of the final day fixtures.
  10. They've now lost a sizeable proportion of the immigrant vote (imagine being told you've done incalcuable harm to the country) as well as "progressives" in the cities. They could reduce immigration to zero and reform would start selling repatriation so they won't retain the racist pensioners. They won't get away with as many "guilt trips" for former Labour voters and won't have the simplistic anti-tory vote to the same extent. As it stands they're beyond fucked with no ideas beyond locking in the same shite we've had since 2010 at least. It's fucking hilarious.
  11. Difficult to know really. Salah at least gave the impression to me he was playing hard ball with the club over his salary expectations.
  12. Sorry to hear about your cat, Gemmill. Pets, man! They drive us insane when they're here but we miss them terribly when they're gone. Gutted for you.
  13. I really hope Osula ends up being good cos he seems fucking mental.
  14. Having now reviewed this immigration stuff in more detail, I'm back to despairing. It's fact free bollocks that just endorses Reform talking points. Guardian comment section is full of people declaring they will abandon Labour, and I know that's just the Guardian, but let's be real, a lot of us read it. A lot of left of centre people read it. I wonder if there's something to be said for the Tories in all this. They believe most of the same things but weren't competent enough to get any of it done. Labour on the other hand...
  15. Plus at no point was he going for the ball, or even aware specifically where the ball was. Text book violent conduct. VIOLENT CONDUCT Violent conduct is when a player uses or attempts to use excessive force or brutality against an opponent when not challenging for the ball, or against a team-mate, team official, match official, spectator or any other person, regardless of whether contact is made. In addition, a player who, when not challenging for the ball, deliberately strikes an opponent or any other person on the head or face with the hand or arm, is guilty of violent conduct unless the force used was negligible.
  16. Today
  17. Botman was "icing a problem at half time" which is why he came off, so hopefully he's OK for this one. That's from Howe in the post match press conference.
  18. It was absolutely horrific, I've seen the clip of John Helm commentating on it a few times and it never gets easier to view. It definitely was overshadowed by what happened at Heysel later that month and then Hillsborough 4 years later. What gets overlooked IMO is the death of Ian Hambridge at St Andrews on the same day. Was at his first match if I remember right.
  19. yeah. you can argue over whether there was intent but you can't argue that botman took an elbow to the face and that is an automatic red. it also looks like he sized it up before the contact was made, which didn't help his cause.
  20. It's not like it even hurt Chelsea, they were better without him. In the end he's a bellend, playing for a bellend club, whose suspension will only sadden bellends. That's all that really matters.
  21. True but I looked at him, jabbed me arm/elbow into his mush but I didn't mean it is a less likely explanation than "I did him". If you're not looking, fine.
