Could be why he isn't sprinting as much.

By then, I mean the previous government. Also, legitimate academic institutions were incentivised to attract increasing numbers of foreign students. As fees for UK students were frozen for ages (effectively reducing in real terms) whereas they could charge foreign students what they liked. There’s other stuff too. You could have prevented a lot of channel crossings in small boats by agreeing to have had a processing centre on the French side (I think the French offered this option).

Well they relaxed visa restrictions in 2021, which strangely the point where the transition period for Brexit finished and we were completely out. Not sure if these two things are connected? 😆 edit: I say this specifically with the care workers thing in mind

It was his groin (and hip maybe) that he was having a persistent problem with, wasn't it? Might be that.
-
Ah that makes sense now. But it's interesting this point about papering over the cracks - what does Labour expect is going to be different now, that they'll enact changes quick enough that they can fill the cracks before they need papering over?
-
I think the student visa thing was to allow them to paper over the cracks of the loss of FoM. But it was massively open to abuse with academic institutions being set up that were only pretending to teach students and were just a route into allowing you to live here

I’ve long since found it funny & couldn’t care less about the mental gymnastics other fans need to do to justify us being where we are I’ll say this though - i think the refereeing has been abysmal for both teams in our last few games. It’s like they have lost the ability to control a game. They are trying to galaxy brain when to hand out yellow cards rather than hand them out for yellow card offences. Then you get stupid stuff like Chelsea thinking they can kick the fuck out of us unpunished & our lads getting annoyed & taking a pop back. It always has the opposite effect.

Nah just said op. Hopefully not a Botman type situation.

I see we're running Rivers of Blood comparisons today. One thing that I'm not following mind, Starmer keeps claiming that the Tories were running an open border experiment - obviously they weren't in reality, but what is he basically pointing to? What specifically did the Tories do which enabled immigration to spiral?
-
3 goals in the last 5 games. He's clearly not playing as well as he was on his hot streak earlier in the season but come on
-
I think smoking a shit tonne of weed, being a thick cunt who thinks he's a great thinker and surrounding himself with mongs who believe the stupidest conspiracies going is what happened to Rogan more than a potent hallucinogenic tbh. In short, he was a complete fucking divvy before DMT.
-
Has to be said Isak also had spells of not scoring at Sociedad. It’s looked to me that he was carrying a knock and being managed long before the cup final and he did 90mins at the weekend so am really not too worried tbh….
-
I’m hoping the shackles will be off for this one. Got the result against Chelsea. Have the Everton game in reserve. We can beat these knobs again. Nothing to it. Plus Eddie has legoheed by his flat plastic private parts area. We come into this game with a tactical and psychological edge. 3-1 to us. Burn to score from a longball free kick to take the piss followed by an Isak double.
-
Joe Rogan was big into his DMT and look what's happened there. He did a documentary about it that was on Netflix. I'd have a shot though, aye. I'll be fucking livid if I come out of it wanting dreads though.
-
DMT is probably the only gear I'd consider trying these days (or that mushroom tea shit I can't spell that has the same impact as DMT). I'd fucking love to see the cosmic serpent tbh.

This for me. Clearly carrying a niggle - isn't sprinting the same way with the exception on Sunday to absolutely wipe curly head twat Cockurella out. Since Gordon's suspension/injury, he hasn't been as effective & I think that's due to Gordon taking up a lot of space and having the ability to go either way with trickery & presses so high up. Barnes is not the same player. Much more direct towards goal with intention to cut in and hit and does not press the same way. Isak is not getting the ball anywhere near as much higher up the field and on Sunday, was dropping in deep and out wide alot of the first half hunting the ball. The team look a little jaded in general and it's no surprise given the size of the squad. We've realistically had only 3 injuries to squad players unitl the weekend, for a few weeks anyway & unable to rotate, unlike the likes of Villa and Chelsea. Drums home how immense we've been this season, without one of the best centre backs in the league (who's big game performances have been sublime) & provides real excitement for the summer with scope to spend and what looks like likely champions league football. Isak is staying & we're mounting a charge next season, post acquisition of 4/5 players that can start/push for it. Mon the pies.
