  1. Past hour
  2. Rumours abound that he has fallen back in with Howe, and back in to Mrs Wyki.
  3. Even if it were true, which it obviously isn’t, then it would be a pitifully small ‘benefit’ anyway And aye, she’s absolutely insane is Badenoch.
  4. As an aside do any people remember the Millennium Bridge being brought down the Tyne to be put in place? The floating crane was fucking huge. Higher than the Tyne Bridge iirc. Look at the height of it compared to the Baltic, man
  5. Today
  6. Difficult to see this being a good thing for Brighton. This tension is never going away if Bloom ultimately sees buy low, sell high as the club's reason for being. It's not exactly gonna attract top managerial talent when, every time your policy works and you unearth a gem, another club just takes them off your hands. I feel bad for Ipswich that their manager is being linked with every vacancy too.
  7. Fury jabs with the back of his fist, that’s illegal and he should have been warned, he hit Usyk below the belt a few times and liked dishing out rabbit punches. Also what size chest were his shorts?
  8. It also had a design fault where the hull was susceptible to cracking and it wasn’t economically viable to repair it. Same with the sister ship built there too.
  9. I thought it was a great fight with both of them going at it. These massive bouts can often be cagey and underwhelming. Fury looked good in the middle rounds but Usyk clearly won it in the 9th when the ref could have stopped the fight and fury was saved by the bell. How the fuck didn’t he go down The lights were out and the way he was bouncing off the ropes was comical. Glad Usyk won in after hearing Fury’s salty comments at the end. The better fighter won. Did anyone notice that Fury coach was telling him one thing when he was in his corner and his dad was contradicting him telling fury he was ahead in the fight, when he clearly wasn’t. Bizarre from old man fury and probably time to sling him from his corner
  10. Exactly how I saw it. Very telling that it was a very fit and focused Fury but he was still clearly second best
  11. The ref was a fucking disgrace tbh. You either stop the fight or let Usyk finish him off. You don’t step in and give him an eight count which was actually longer than 8 seconds. It was a close fight until then and I think Ritchie Woodall’s scorecard that had Fury a round up until then was probably spot on (at that point). Although a lot of those early rounds were close and difficult to score. Usyk won the last three rounds though so that should’ve been a 5 point swing with the 9th. I think fitness really showed in the end. Also I thought Fury had a big opportunity after hurting Usyk in the 5th with some body shots. But he sat back and admired his work instead of going for the kill. Excellent fight like. Shame Fury had to be an ungracious wanker at the end. But that’s entirely in character. The TNT commentary team were very optimistic in terms of how they saw the fight from Fury’s pov too
  12. It was a clear Usyk win, but some of the rounds were fairly close where Usyk actually put in more work just to counter some big hits from Fury. Usyk had the first 3 and I had Fury with the next 3 but once Usyk smashed him in the nose, Fury tailed away and was lights out on those ropes. His eyes were in different postcodes before the ref jumped in which I thought was too early. He either stops it as a contest or Fury takes a few more before hitting the canvas. Weirdly when Fury was in control in the 5th and 6th, he didn't go on and stay on the front foot, so Usyk just dictated a higher tempo. Fury probably was in his best shape for this fight but I'm glad he lost for his disrespectful showponying in the first few rounds and his complete lack of class at the final bell. He's a fucking idiot and Usyk did a proper job of it.
  13. That Canadian judge who scored the fight to Fury btw Maybe he was in the toilet when Usyk had him rebounding off every corner, stumbling into more and more punches for about 30 seconds
  14. Saved by the bell. other refs would have stopped it https://x.com/NoContextHumans/status/1792057595500564795/mediaViewer?currentTweet=1791973621407113557&currentTweet=1791973621407113557&currentTweet=1792057595500564795&currentTweetUser=fun88eng&currentTweetUser=fun88eng&currentTweetUser=NoContextHumans
  15. Difficult to see a different result at the rematch. After Fury's post fight comments, it's just unfortunate that Usyk didn't land that shot earlier in the round so he could have finished him.
  16. I'll help you, us young'uns need to stick together. Copy the url and switch out x.com for twitter.com. Simple as that, fellow young person! High five.
  17. Robin and Meenz are both behind you. Robin had never done fantasy league before and Meenz has rules about who he can sign. So you should remain ashamed of yourself
  18. Haven't checked this after about three weeks into the season? How'd I do? If I'm not bottom we should ban whoever is.
  19. Plus a £40m deal for another Brazilian. Neither of them joining until 2025.
  20. I think that both he and Bruno play similar roles albeit in different ways. Both can defend and can evade pressure, both can get forward and create opportunities. He's not quite the out and out defensive midfield, but he's more defensive than a true blue central midfielder. He's kind of box to box but lacks the physicality you'd expect from that role. He's definitely not an attacking midfielder, but he does create chances. He's not a regista, mezzala, or carrilero, but I think the term that best describes him is Segundo Volante. https://medium.com/@moderntactics343/tactical-investigation-what-is-a-segundo-volante-2bb3491cbf5b Now, I know a lot of you absolutely fucking HATE foreign muck, but honestly read the above and I think it describes his role very well. It even references Barella who we were very much interested in, before we switched to Tonali. FWIW I think the gaping hole has more to do with Pope's absence than it is our midfield. If Pope was fit our defence would be higher up the pitch, closer to the midfield.
  21. That would spoil the mystique 🙂
