  1. I'd have come in me pants if I'd had that subbuteo stadium when I was a young'un. I love how the lad has even put the perspex type barriers on either side of the away end.
  2. Considering the mess he took over, the men he had to work for and the doom and gloom surrounding the club, he can count on my thanks. Played the media brilliantly too, gave them fuck all to work with without being a cunt about it. That derby day demolition will be talked about long after Chris has gone to meet his maker, he'll be welcome in any Mags company, cheers, Chris.
  3. Does anyone require any more proof of what NUFC means to the two gimps running the club?
  4. ......that means something to you and tell me why. Funny, sad, romantic, nostalgic or whatever.

    Stevie

Is he officially an "Auld cunt" now? All the best, Stevie.
  7. Don't know if it's been mentioned already, but Blatter made a twat of himself when asked to name his favourite Qatar player. Apparently 'Eric Clapton' wasn't the answer the Arabs were waiting for.
  8. Loved them. Also liked the Victor annual with Alf Tupper the athlete who'd compete in running events, gan for a chippy on the way home and foil some baddie in between races.
  9. 'When the boat comes in'
  10. Airfix/Matchbox soldiers, Star Wars and Action man and had loads of 'Commando' books. And Subbuteo of course!!
  11. Whey aye, course they did. All these third world FA's tuned into Panorama after a hard day taking calls, bringing favours in and recieving nice gifts with every intent of giving the tournament to England and nearly spat out their drink at what they saw. 'Right, England! That's you off the short list! I was 100% going to give you my vote, an ahll!' They're spreading the game and don't give a fuck if it put's our noses out of joint, and if they get a bit wedged up in the process? Job's a good'un. We had no chance. P.S. I really hope someone pulls Linekar and asks if he's going to stick to his principles and walk away from the BBC.
  12. I'm probably going to go against the grain here, but there's almost something sickly having to fucking kowtow to a bunch of administrators who may well have their fingers in the pie and having to almost apologise for some investigative journalist shining a light on it. If everything was all above board then England would have a World Cup by now or would be nailed on to get this one, however, for all the 'disgrace' comments about panorama and the other media stories, what if it puts FIFA under unwelcome scrutiny where they might actually have to be seen to do the right and fair thing? The best bid should win otherwise fuck 'em! It's not worth the appeasement and the silent condoning of corruption.
  13. I'm sure I was told they built a new one a few years ago but their supporters didn't like and wouldn't go so they stayed put.
  14. The Derry kid definitely posted. I think he prefers Londonderry, Stevie.
  15. I must be losing the fucking plot here. I could've sworn there were more posts in this thread including one from myself. When I turned the computer off last night the last one was from the ignored Londonderry kid. Hmmmnnn.......Was it something he said?
  16. I've always thought Dortmunds ground looks fucking superb when you see it on the telly, That home end is what we should have at SJP, safe standing one tier end that goes up to the heavens. I went to the Mestalla, Valencia once while we were in the city for a day and I popped in during the afternoon, the stand I went in really reminded me of the East Stand from the outside, all concrete like Charles de Gaulle airport. Once inside it was hard to believe that it held virtually the same as SJP, it seemed a lot smaller although that was maybe because there wasn't anyone there. Valencia was a beautiful city, pity I didn't have much time to look about more.
  17. You lot are a bunch of cruel bastards, it has to be said. However, as an aside, number 1 reminds me of the giant michelin monster off Ghostbusters, it's the tilt of her hat, probably.
  18. Custis has lived and worked in the South too long, is slightly embarrased of being a Newcastle fan (and I use the word 'fan' in the loosest way), tries so hard to show his hack friends and colleagues that he isn't like what their perceptions of the 'toon army' are. Henry Winter is far more sympathetic and he's got no NUFC connection that I'm aware of.
  19. I've not heard of half of the Sunderland squad! But I don't think the people that have are trying to be be different or interesting somehow! I know where she's coming from, my sister will listen to any shite if it's 'in'. Funny, after a year they're never heard again in her presence. Then again, although her hearts in the right place, she's a bit of a snob.
  20. Roses are green, Violets are yellow, Did I mention I'm colour-blind? Roses are red, Violets are blue, I've got alzheimer's, Porridge Roses are red Violets are blue I'm schizophrenic And so am I
  21. I had to buy a Phil Collins album for my mother the other day and a Katy Perry album for the kids/wor lass. Luckily I don't get embarrassed easily. I couldn't tell you who most of these bands mentioned are, either.
  22. That meeting is basically the reason cited by the chair for why we should never hold another members meeting again. You would assume that the abuse hurler was the main reason for his argument wouldnt you? well it wasnt, the abuser was, believe it or not, the PR expert (I shit ye not ) and the now chair got upset at the fact people even dared question the work that was going on. And the people on the other end of the abuse? non other than Mick Martin of True Faith and a respected Solicitor both of whom were instrumental in the setting up of the NUSC. well arent you the clever one, there is nobody to blame ultimately for this than the current chair however if more fans such as yourself had actually got behind the idea of a Supporters Club at the time and helped shape it then maybe, just maybe it could have turned out differently. How anyone can crow about this and laugh at the fact it may have failed is beyond me. Lets be sure here though, this should not be the end of a NUFC fans organisation, it may well be the end of the Trust and it definitely should be the end of some peoples involvement on the board but there are good foundations for a well ran Supporters Club which we desperately need. I think I was at that meeting. This Bill bloke came across well I have to say and the points he's raised in his resignation letter are a bit damning to say the least for the committee. I've already renewed to give them another years grace to see if they could turn this around as I believed in a NUFC supporters club. I won't be doing so again, that much is nailed on.
  23. I've had the kindle a couple of days now and I'm very pleased with it. If anyone is thinking of getting one I'd recommend it, easy to get the hang of, easy to set up to your wireless network, very impressed with it. Trouble is it's for christmas but I told the wife I was just going to 'make sure everythings ok and it works properly' before handing it over and now I don't want to wait for me new toy!
  24. You do what you like, sunshine. Fuck these divi's trying to tell you what to do after you asked their advice. By the way, before you go, if you get the chance to watch 'Midnight Express' then do so, it's a double cush film. Laters.
