  1. They used to have a shop on shakespeare street near the adelphi before moving to a unit in the team valley.
  2. Looks like toffs has bitten the bullet. Went on to their website and there's a banner saying 'Stock Clearance up to 75% Off everything and FREE UK Shipping on orders over £50' but when you click on any team it's just blank. (They lost the NUFC deal a few years ago).
  3. I know. Point is you knew who it was and any commentator worth his salt would too. I don't know, the square patches were player issue only and there lies the problem because kids will want names and numbers on their shirts as well so an inbuilt square would be a better option but if you want a shirt you either get a number or walk around with a blank patch on your back, (loads do and I just don't get why they would?)
  4. I agree about the square but the fucks given about people struggling to make out the name and number? This is where your sky fans come into it, never bothered anyone years ago till the squad name/number thing came about. If Paul Goddard was through on goal I wasn't in any doubt it was Paul Goddard or whoever for the opposition, and if it was someone you didn't know from another side a quick 'who scored for them?' would give you an answer from some random fan.
  5. When I got my first job there were two of us that started, me and a Chinese kid called Hoo Yee. The old sweats would shout his name in my direction but the Chinese cunt always sloped off on the sly so I had to do his work. Also once worked with an Indian-Geordie who used to be a submariner in the RN, canny kid was Gandeep Undawatta.
  6. The whelm is definitely on the underside. Whatever happens from now on we're never getting stripes back on the back which is frankly a fucking disgrace but uefa have made it so, so any team with European ambitions either gets on board or has a a domestic shirt and a European version.
  7. I once had a shite wearing an Inter top from toffs so stick that in yer pipe and smoke it.
  8. This ultra on the mic in the crowd sounds exactly like the bloke on channel 4 shouting "Campionato! Di Calcio! Italiano!" on football Italia.
  9. Both legs of this tie have been great to watch.
  10. It's much urdu about nothing, Kev.
  11. What is the fascination with Daniel Sturridge on Amazon and Sky, though?
  12. Got it on with Amazon and no commentary team talking shite all game, just the crowd noise....
  13. The other kid.... "Ah fucking knew it!!"
  14. You've all got @PaddockLad to thank for me being here since 2009 I think(?) so I'm still a newcomer by TT standards.
  15. "I fancied nice cup of that famous, luvveleh carpaccio but when it came it wa just a thin strip of sorreh lewkin meat and it wa raw! Bloody Italian wops trying it on with honest folk visiting their country! You don't get this shit in Harrogate tea shops I tell thee! And don't me started on brass they wanted for their foreign muck!"
  16. Those opta percentages made me laugh but at those giving them much credence, they veer dramatically after every week so by nature are going to change by results so I'd love to see our percentage chance pre villa to now? Not saying we won't do it but some of the crack you heard from some people, particularly from some of the pundits, that had us already qualified was fucking bizarre, again, especially from pundits who rarely mention us and normally have half our squad sold off. It was never going to be as cut and dried as they made out.
  17. I'd also chuck in @Howay. Miss his mackem rants and unusually, his macron/Palace ones.
  18. I was too young for the 83-84 season, my dad took me to the first home game which I loved even though we managed to get beat and that was my first and last glimpse of KK in a NUFC shirt for a proper match. I'd have loved to have went to the aways but it was about five years after that season I went to my first. A completely different environment to what there is now and that's not always a bad thing but I'm just glad I got to see football raw and uncut for a few years anyway. Obviously there's rose tinted glasses a la gemmill which I wouldn't deny but I read someone saying not too long ago that the SJP clientele is more Jesmond than Walker, more Darras Hall than Cowgate and whilst that's an exaggerated point it's not that exaggerated.
  19. The trophy should make it the best and it was immense but if you're not there to see it plus if you're no onger a young buck? I always say my joint favourite seasons were 92-94 promotion plus 3rd in the PL. A young man in my prime enjoying the KK feast after the famine of division two. Amazing. I loved the cup win, who couldn't as a NUFC fan but it's at a distance so different.
  20. How much did they pay fiorentina for Vloahavic? €80m? I wonder how much the chubby cheeks yank McKinnie cost? Kelly needs to respond by saying 'nee good starting looking at my signing, amici!'
