Just been interviewed on SKY Sports news, Shearer confirmed that he will not be on the coaching staff next season, he will be focusing on getting his coaching badges.

lol, it's same bloody one as Craig posted just above you fool 109834[/snapback] Doh !

I think the lack of Boumsong lifted the whole back 5, remember we've still got Taylor to come back too, I really don't think there is too much work to be done once all are fit.

Charlton v Newcastle (1400 BST) Newcastle were much better at Chelsea on Wednesday and a lot tighter at the back, but it did take away from their attacking threat. Charlton have a chance now of having a really good end to the season, because this is the time when they usually lose every game, or at least drop points. They seem to have had their lapse a third of the way through the season so they might finish strongly this term.

Superb news ! British Iraq hostage Kember freed One British and two Canadian peace activists held hostage in Iraq for almost four months have been freed in an operation by multinational forces. Norman Kember, 74, of north-west London, James Loney, 41, and Harmeet Singh Sooden, 32, were three of four men seized in Baghdad in November. Mr Kember is said to be in a "reasonable condition" while the two Canadians were taken to hospital. The body of murdered US citizen Tom Fox was found in Baghdad two weeks ago. Ordeal ended Foreign Secretary Jack Straw said he had spoken to Mr Kember's wife Pat and that she was "absolutely delighted, elated with this news". "I'm delighted that now we have a happy ending to this terrible ordeal for Norman Kember, for his family, for the Canadian hostages and for their families as well," he said. Prime Minister Tony Blair said he was delighted by the news, and particularly pleased for the freed men and their families. He also congratulated everyone involved in the rescue operation. Mr Straw said British forces had taken part. The foreign secretary said the rescue followed "weeks and weeks of very careful work by military and coalition personnel in Iraq and many civilians as well". He added: "There's one last very sad point, which is that there were four hostages captured originally, including one, an American, Mr Fox, and it's a matter of great sorrow to everybody that he was killed a little while ago." The 54-year-old was found shot dead on 9 March in the Mansour district of the Iraqi capital. Threats The men were carrying out work in Iraq as part of peace group Christian Peacemaker Teams. They were abducted on 26 November by a previously unknown group calling itself the Swords of Truth Brigade. The group had issued threats to kill the men if the US and Iraqi authorities did not meet their demand of releasing all Iraqi prisoners. Muslim anti-war campaigners in the UK sent Iraqi-born Anas Altrikiti to Iraq to plead for the release of Mr Kember and the other hostages. Ihtisham Hibatullah, a spokesman for Mr Tikriti at the Muslim Association of Britain, said on Thursday they were "very relieved" that Mr Kember and his colleagues were alive, and that it was fantastic news for their families.

Would love to have seen Shearer lift a trophy in a black and white shirt, although he has broken nearly every goal scoring record there is, I hope he will take comfort in that. But I must say, had we had a more cutting edge strike force tonight I think we'd have at least got a replay tonight.

I voted Yesno.

No, a quick summary for you: We are shit Mark Lawernson is a anti-toon biased twat.
-
I know this is nothing new, but I really want to punch Mark Lawrenson in the face.

I think all 3 albums are very good, but very similar, I find their music a little too bleak for my tastes but I can gladly listen to 4 or 5 of their tracks before I'm considering phoning the samaratans !

Firstly I'm gutted that all this kicked off whilst I was on a nightshift !!!! Secondly, if anything, Pud's "Prank" has rejuvenated the hitzfeldforthetoon campaign and brought it back into the news, which was prior to this was dying on the bones of its arse. Thirdly, I was privy to Pud's work as well as Scottishmags, I read the emails and heard the plans too ! But most of all, its clear that some folk are taking themselves WAY too seriously and need to get a firm grip on reality and also find their sense of humour, which I appreciate for some might be a little hard !

it was either that or send him on a windsurfing holiday in the lake District.

I'm disapointed we've not had the post from RobW telling us of when he was a professional Snowboarder.
-
I've done it on dry and snow slopes, its very adictive, I had huge problems to begin with, because I was used to skateboarding, the way of slowing down on a snowboard is the complete oposite to a skateboard and was completly against all my instincts.

Sussed it and don't I feel dumb ! I hadn't reinstalled the manufacturers config software since my rebuild, although Windows by default would access my router via my wireless card, the only way i could correctly configure my WEP settings was by using the manufacturers interface.

However, one thing that you'd have to say that Souness did right was that he nearly always said what you wanted to hear, mind you he'd nearly always do the oposite, but he knew what to say at the right time, but he always came out with the soundbites when required. Personally, I think the Roeder regime is now being found out, the honeymoon is firmly now over, now is the test of what a manager Roeder truely is.

A week or two ago I'd probably agreed with you, now however, all i'd say is that the Roeder honeymoon has now ended, we are now left with the stark facts that were there for all to see under Souness: Boumsong - utter shit Shearer - a shadow of his formerself, all that is left is brief cameo's of what he was once capable of Ameobi - a championship level striker and nothing else. Dyer - OK for 30 mins but fuck all else. Bramble - See Boumsong.
