  1. Why are you questioning Carroll's professionalism? He is a professional footballer and is the highest scoring English player in the top league. His performance is a representation of his work on the training ground and his focus on the pitch. Thats professionalism. Not sure the mirror story is evidence of a lack of it but you are perhaps confusing the spurious notion that a pro footballer needs to be role model too. He is an athlete so drinking is not advisable but as long as it is not excessive and regular then i dont think we should expect them to be tee-totallers. As for Ranger, he needs to sort his ideas out. He must be lush in training because he is fucking wank on the pitch, neither in control of his body or the ball. If anyones a spastic, its him. I'm not questioning Carrolls professionalism. I said he's probably not the best man in the squad to be giving that advice. I'd have thought Steve Harper, Sol Campbell, Nolan etc may be better suited.

  3. A risky game he's playing. Leaving Nile out to dry and isolating him is abysmal man management. Especially to publicise it and tell the world. 'Asked Andy to have a word with him' ? Probably not the best man to be giving advice about professionalism. Keep it in house like Hughton.
  4. That's nee Newcastle fan. Thank fuck. Disgraceful behaviour.
  5. Regardless of if he's a 'bender' or not and it only being '6 hours', he's meant to be a professional sportsman. I'd rather he was a hermit given his recent other mistermeanours. He's just asking for trouble by mixing in the wrong circles and getting pissed. Alcohol is obviously an issue for him. The majority of his other problems have been drink related so someone needs to sort him out. Namely, himself.
  6. I don't know what to think. Did he fall off the stool after having 2 kalibers and injure himself before or after he was ruled out? Is that the cause of his injury? Absolute taity if that's reet.
  7. As the years have passed it's gradually moved from that, to chin, to chebs, the bed, in a blob, on myself (she lets it nee where near these days. Trade her in, tbf.
  8. I don't lack faith in the squad to qualify. I lack faith in the fact we simply don't have the squad to succeed in Europe and the league together. We're desemated already with injuries and we're too reliant on certain players still. I think we've got a good tight knit group but they need time to grow as a team before they're hoid in the deep end of thursday night football and sunday premier league games. Why havn't you got enough faith to go back? All the other glory boys have.
  9. I do think our first 11 is good enough to finish in top 8 potentially, aye. I don't think our squad is good enough to qualify for the Europa League. By that, I mean a squad who are able to sustain the riggor of european games and the fixture congestion. Think you're getting well ahead of yourself tbh. Rome wasn't built in a day and blind faith didn't get them there. We're a newly promoted club, regardless of club stature, and we are building a squad on what seem solid foundations. That squad needs time to nurture and grow. European games are glamourous regardless if you ask me, but I'd rather get there as a strong grounded football club not one on an upward spiral after 2 years of turmoil.
  10. CT, what is it then? Cup run or Europa league? To say we're safe is ridiculous. Nowt to stop the teams who are still shitting themselves getting end of season results as we tumble down whilst getting the open top taxis ready for wembley. We simply don't have the squad to challenge for Europe (haha) and win the FA Cup. I wouldn't quite start with the tips for Wembley final day just yet.
  11. He'll be 15 or something If he's owt like his dad he'll pass for 28 man.
  12. It'll suit other nations far greater than ours. Those who have winter breaks and those who are used to sunnier climes. What's the average temperature in Nov/Dec in Qatar. I bet it's still far hotter than it ever is here. The whole process and the decision to hold it in a country so strict and undeveloped is a joke. FIFA are a disgrace but then, aren't all large sporting organisations? Ye can barely have a sup if you went to Qatar and the place will be soo packed it'll be a farce. We'll have Brooklyn Beckham and Kai Rooney bossin' midfield and Almunias offspring in nets.
  13. To quote the infamous Leazes; 'Obsessed Git back to 'Ready to die'
  14. Not according to the majority on here. I've always trawled the internet and found there's loads to do. I've not planning on hanging aboot in a cafe getting baked all day. The bits we'll be doing looks far from 'desperate'. I hope.
  15. Tbf CT would add some hilarity to this thread given his taste in music. Which included Whitney Houston I seem to remember.
  16. 'I subscribe to the umberto eco view that Liam's a town crier and Noel's a poet' Liam over Otis, everytime.
  17. You have to think there's a reason for that, given there's a few different managers who've now passed over the lad. I don't buy into the triggering of the payment clause theory either since not playing him purely because of that is just pouring money down the drain anyway, i.e. wages, resale value etc. Perhaps he's just shite and/or has a shocking attitude. When he was signed the club said it was for 5.6m rising to 7m, so there are certainly addons. Not sure if thats a factor in him being outcast. I know Hughton gave up on him after his sending off in the reserves, so it's obvious his attitude is a big factor. I don't blame him for having a chip on his shoulder, he's hardly been welcomed. Powerhouse welcomed him with open arses.
  18. Sat on a bike ogling the crumpet touching yourself?
  19. The ball bounced straight to Georgiadis, who seemingly decided enough was enough and smashed a left-foot shot miles over the bar to put him and his team-mates out of their misery. Mebees that's what Shola does.
  20. West End (ITBE) Lying in Gosforth too. The multitude of tab ends littering Wallsend is probably preventing anything settling for any length of time.
  21. Where's it lying like? I'm at graft and been out for a woodbine about half hour ago and nowt falling then.
