  1. Pitch shifters are a tad niche for me tbh
  2. I wouldn't expect so. My dad has a story of a bloke in burnley who had posters in his window for the tory candidate last council election time, my dad was working for the council at the time so had the joy of visiting plenty of your run of the mill council estates that should be labour voters all day long. The bloke was hanging around while my dad measured up and what have you talking about how important it was to not vote for the labour guy because "we've got to keep these pakis out of getting power". Next time he visits a couple of weeks later the posters have gone, dad asks why and finds out that this salt of the earth chap was horrified to find out the tory candidate was a "bender" so he sacked off the whole thing and didn't bother voting for anyone. I no longer know what point I am making. Possibly that to be elected in this country you don't need to have good policies or care about people in the slightest, you need to have the right face, a quiet wife who will stand around smiling and a name no one can make fun of like "dave" or "tony" and then get the papers on side.
  3. Thats how the campaign was run though so its now what people expect. I do wonder if this might all be taken as a warning by the party leaders of the future. Probably not.
  4. But they have to or they lose the PR battle and the 52% will notice that May and co are the global political elite etc and so on who they think have ruined their lives.
  5. I'm trying to see how much you will write based on as short a post of mine as possible. We got a strong 72:1 then
  6. Is that not essentially what all but the tories have done since the end of the war? Apart from when Labour went central.
  7. They did win three in a row at one point. How many have the further left won in your lifetime?
  8. Aye its the centre thats having its chance and failing, the lefts doing great with its opportunity.
  9. Thing is, the laws of the game are either open to interpretation or they aren't. the ones that aren't, the ball either did or didn't cross the line, a player either was or wasn't offside are the domain of technology. They also happen to be some of the most important calls in the game, if an offside happens in the buildup to a goal and is missed then it should be called out. A player handling the ball intentionally is up to the ref, but he can consult with the video ref, the ref determines intent, the video ref can say with 100% certainty whether or not there was a handball. Same with a foul, ref blows up and gives a freekick, nothing more to it most of the time, but if he's dishing out a card, sending someone off, that takes time anyway, talk to the video ref, was he off the ground? Did he get any of the ball? That can help the referee determine the extent of the action he takes. 9 times out of 10 when there is a big penalty call one way or the other the ball is dead, ask the video ref, did the player get the ball? Was that a great last ditch tackle or a foul? It doesn't really seem all that complicated to me. You don't have to have it for everything or not at all, because that is stupid and warrants no further arguing.
  10. Because all hes bothered about is that the side he backed won. Same with the Cameron, greatest PM of his lifetime. Politics is like football to him, he picks a team and hopes it wins, there is no deeper consideration given than that.
  11. Perhaps beardsley should have put the time in and got better at penalties then.
  12. Vastly over rated players made of glass? Yeah we're definitely in a position to turn our noses up at that.
  13. Gray is no more established in the top flight than Gayle either tbh.

    Terrorism

You've got to be a pretty special kind of bellend to try and have a pop at the police during an operation like this.

    Terrorism

Reports seem to be suggesting the officer he stabbed has died.
  16. Football Ramble did a special recently, an interview with Carragher that goes into a fair bit of detail about that final and Benitez. Worth a listen.
  17. Shearer for me, possibly age related. Like Rayvin I only saw the tail of Pedros career while Shearer was my favourite player even before playing for us.
  18. He is just so demonstrably full of shit. Well, go on then...no one is stopping you from trying. Except that the same thing happened last time, making it not unprecedented in the slightest.
