  1. Divven't worry pet. He'll back on loan to us next month.
  2. Very eligible man is Howard.
  3. Fucking hell, do you ride then side saddle?
  4. You obviously missed the 100,000 of us who performed a modern day Jarrow march on Parliament marra, DEMANDING that we got took over by child raping, gay chair flinging, terrorist, baby eating, camel humpers. And then the spontaneous celebrations where every man, woman, child, baby and pet dog danced around in circles with tea towels on their heads, marra.
  5. The first and third were the only ones which are BM themed, the others are all shit versions of Hammer House of Horror. Still preferred these mind.
  6. Have these games been played on a plastic pitch? The speed the ball rolls and the bounce looks odd. The games have seemed very fast paced for preseason friendlies.
  7. Special fewm for this, as you can see the stadium of shite in the beckground. Mackems being sportswashed!
  8. So there is predictable mackem fewm and confusion this morning over it being confirmed that Hendo is hanging up his rainbow laces and now working for a child raping, Yemen bombing, gay chair flinging, 9/11 committing camel humper. A rperesentative post: Jordan now not welcome at Sunderland! How will the £7 milliion quid he's earning help him sleep at night knowing this?
  9. Phwoarrrh. You've one and done it now. Imagine her nibbling youe ear lobe and softly growling.
  10. Necessary too with FFP, it would be a genuine positive for the region if we could home grow a lot of talent. Haven't seen these lads play but hope they continue to improve. Their sister Cyrus is lovely too.
  11. Okay, I see where you're coming from. I respectfully disagree though, I don't think he gave a shit about the impression of empty seats, it was mainly about TV money for him. Maybe I'm forgetting, but the half season tickets still had you buying the other half didn't they? I guess getting bums on seats also sells more pies and pints, so was just a lazy way of making money. I just don't see the connection between empty seats and publicity for SD, we were never going to be anywhere near the levels on pink seats seen at the SoL, and Sky focus on the lower tiers and hoardings which would always be full. Could be argued that a full stadium was a positive selling point to investors wanting to take us over too. I don't see how an empty stadium could help there. All in the past now anyway.
  12. Well let's be nice to each other here and not indulge in mackem like behaviour squabbles. No need to call anyone a scab for attending a game of football. A word which has the worst conotation in the NE short of nonce or paedo. It's not like there was some official boycott of the ground at the time, people made individual choices on whether to go or not, and it we're honest, most people who gave up did so because they stopped enjoying the experience and thought they could get more pleasure elsewhere from the £500 or whatever they were spending. Many people who continued going did so purely for social reasons (myself included). A few might have given up entirely as an objection to Ashley which was their perogative. And some, shock horror, used Ashley's incompetence as a way of seeing matches cheaply. All of this is fine, there's no need to judge people for their actrions imo.
  13. When I was at Uni many many years ago I lived with a vetinary student from Norway who was probaly the most morose, sullen person I had ever known, an original goth. Perhaps that's where I got it from. Anyway, I don't know what happened in her life, but she loudly played Nothing Compares to U on a loop at least 10 times a day for the year I lived there. Just struck me, I don't think I ever really got tired of listening to that song, which is quite amazing.
  14. Half of me hopes it was because she's only a few years older than me and natural causes scares me, but the other half just makes me feel so sad the death of her son caused her this much pain. Such a tortured soul, like Dolores. I know experiencing just a tenth of that pain is awful. Kid 2 clocked her (lack of) hair on the news and said "she died of cancer Dad".
  15. Urghh. Horrible news. Dolores a few years back and now Sinead. While cunts like Johnson and Farage are still stealing oxygen. RIP Sinead.
  16. I'm happy with all that HMHM but no fucking way are you having my phone. Just realised 10 is obviously more than half the matches, that's fair enough. Wonder how many people I am allowed in my "family"?
  17. Also this place will be a handy stop off for an emergency piss. Increasing problem for me as my prostate grows. 👍
  18. Well at the minute it's a derelict car park so even a stack is an improvement. From what I've heard though is that this will be a 2 to 3 year stop gap whilst they figure out what to do with Gallowgate and the East stand. I think both could be extended using modern engineering solutions. Hope so anyway.
  19. Ashley was reviled because he took the piss out of the club. It was never about his ethics or the treatment of staff at SD etc. That was a convenient smoke screen for people like Chi Onwurah to platform on. If he had managed the club well and ambitiously, nobody would have had a problem. But he didn't, as tbd has listed. PIF are taking the club to another level and have their PR spot on. But they're going to need to maximise revenue for FFP reasons, I doubt they are that bothered on the returns. That's inevitably going to make some people unhappy. We all know that the regime PIF represent is not compatible with our own ethical code, but for inverse reasons to Ashley, we turn a blind eye. That's because we decompartmentalise things we can't control (club ownership) with things we can. I'd make the following points: People can get to fuck judging anyone else. Call me a scab for retaining my ST is ridiculous, it's only football ffs. Similarly to boast or gloat because you have an ST is equally stupid. And personally I fully agree that a substantial proportion of tickets should be held back for non-ST holders, but how they are distributed I don't know. If you're lucky enough to get a ticket, you'll know the atmosphere is fantastic and there is a strong sense of city unity that you probably have to go back to Keegan to match. Nobody wears tea towels on their heads though, and many people will have no sympathy for the MBS regime. So this demonstrates that people seperate the monetary ownership from the communal ownership in their minds. Saudi is a corrupt state with values significantly different values from the West, of that there is no doubt. But it's not "whataboutery" to discuss states with equally vile human rights records or question why people have no issue not boycotting other parts of the PIF investment portfolio. The fact that people don't again just underlines that these facts just don't matter to them in day to day life. Of course, its quite typical to try to hold football to a higher standard for some reason. Why? Whilst there are many issues with Saudi, most opposition football fans, especially mackems, are completely ignorant about them, like the Yemen civil war. Or worse, outright conspiracy theories about 9/11, or lies about paedophilia. I find the way mackems fetishise this completely undermines their point, and worse, says a lot to who they really are. Saudi are currently a big disruptor in European football and I am personally uneasy about their setting up the Saudi pro league and creaming some of the best European players. I think UEFA need to closely monitor the situation.
  20. I might be guilty of using it from time to time. Like you meet someone at work socially and all that small talk bullshit you have to endure. But then again, unlike you, I'm a true dedicated fan of soccer and nowadays you need a season ticket when United come to play. That's right isn't it guys?
  21. I can see me buying a burner smart phone at this rate.
  22. I don't know how the digital home tickets are going to work but likely to be a fuckimng pain in the arse. My seat, I should be able to give it to who I want to (and accept responsibility for that). But ironically if they somehow could apply them to away tickets I could see that making it more meritocratic.
  23. Unfortuinately its an inevitable truth that the more successful we are, the higher up the football echelons we ascend, the more shafted the fans will be and the more will be priced out. Look at the Champions League prices, and the fact you have to buy all three even before you know who we've drawn.
  24. I don't know why you lads don't just try and get one of the 10,000 tickets the SMB keep telling me we give away for free?
  25. Think Alex is already sorted for quite a few tickets as it is mate.
