I respect where he came from and what he has achieved, and to some extent I understand why he is so cautious with the media now, but I find his rhetoric increasingly cowardly and frankly nauseating (like Shamima Begum today for instance). He knows people like me will still vote for him so seems to be happy just to take the piss. I'm just hoping he has more substance in office because these fucking three word soundbites aren't saving the country. At least recognise the multiple elephants in the room Keith you Arsenal-supporting nobhead.

Good thread on why we are suffering food shortages and the EU are not. The MSM still reporting its nowt to do wqith Brexit when of course it fucking is. Exporters within the EU (like Spain) preferentially export to EU markets. Whilst those outside (like Morocco) will also prederentially supply their (by far) biggest market. Basic economics, we are left with the dregs. Worth remembering that this is whilst we are not even bothering to enforce our own regulatory borders . We can't ever do this now as the disruption would be too great*. Meaning we have no quality control and can't apply tariffs properly, resulting in billions lost tax revenue. But meanwhile the EU are more than happy to apply their own regulatory rules, much to the disbenefit of British exporters. What a fucking joke. * Or maybe not. https://www.theneweuropean.co.uk/think-the-tomato-shortages-are-bad-you-aint-seen-nothing-yet/

He might be cremated.

Keir Starmer starting his fucking five pledges lie speech. "We're gonna have the biggest GDP growth in the G7". Okay Keith, I believe you. I'll not bother asking how, that's so passe.

I'm not sure how to react to this after Hereford. Oh go on then, I'll forgive him. RIP John.

Gemmill's got one on his Jeep I hear. The news the Roald Dahl was being rewritten broke him and he's nowhe's reunited with his mam and he takes her weekly shopping in Tescos iirc.

Does the Daily Heil have no organisational memory to prevent it sounding fucking stupid on tweets?

That's got to be a euphemism. Back to Gloomy, the lad's only going for a few days in April, with kids. Wild campingin the Knoydart is probably a bit optimistic.

Nothing like a trip to Lock Lomond the biggest expanse of fresh water in Britain, or Lock Ness, the deepest and largest lock by volume. Also, if you want sea locks, I recommend Lock Etive which is near Glen Coe. Fun fact, there are more locks in Scotland than your average branch of Timpson's. Edit: by the way CT, nothing says sassenach like not pronoucing Loch right, let alone spelling it right!

April shjouldn't be a huge issue for midges, rain/cold is a bigger risk. Loch Lomond is nice but not a million miles away from what you'd get in the Lakes. Skye with kids, I'm not too sure. I'd maybe consider a compromise and going as far as Fort Bill for highland beauty or Oban for coastal beauty. The driving up there isn't a chore as the views are so spectacular, and trhe roads south of the greeat Glen are very good. If Fort Bill is considered, you have to take a walk through Glen Coe and Glen Nevis. There are rainy day activities there too. Mull and Tobermory for Oban.

CT's love child has scored the deciding goal against Sunderland, who somehow despite being an upper midtable premier league side are an upper midtable championship side.

It really is the boiled frog though isn't it? We've just gotten used to empty shelves and rotting fruit and veg. It's never got back to normal aferter covid/Brexit, and never will now. They've even taken the best before dates off a lot of produce under the guise that as long as it's not mouldy it's okay to use. But does this reduce waste? Because I always used this as a guide rather than a rule anyway, and quite often now my veg goes putrid just days after buying it. You can't always tell how old it is when looking at it in the store. So it gets binned anyway and I'm out of pocket.

I think you're right. There were American nukes based in Belgium and West Germany I think, and here I think in places like Greenham Common. And of course ironically Ukraine has russian nuclear weapons which they handed back. Which was a mistake in hindsight. It's rare that I think there has ever been a war as clear cut as there is here as to who the actual agressor is. Putin's "victim blaming" Ukraine - she was asking for it - is utterly laughable, I'm amazed anyone could fall for it.

I used to love pool and be quite good at it, but fucking hell, the size of a snooker table, it would take me a day to complete one frame.

Asda has started rationing tomatoes (amongst other fruitas and vegetables sourced from Europe).

Please don't fall for this right wing bear prodded bullshit. Putin's actions actually prove that every European nation that values its independence from the Kremlin needs to be in NATO. Ukraine was not in NATO, it will be once this war ends along with Finland and Sweden however. The people of Ukraine, which is a sovereign country, made a democratic choice to move towards seceding to the EU, not NATO. This is what sparked Putin's anger and the apocalypse he alone is responsible for for inflicting on the people of Ukraine and his own people. People like that Majorie Taylor Greene are actually traitors to their country imo, and I don't say that lightly.

No. I neither partake or condone these kinds of actions. Surprised nobody's mentioned he must have a small pecker.

Tbh it's not just people being dickheads, its almost impossible to hear instructions over the PA system nowadays, the sound quality is fucking abysmal. Add in people coming in a bit late and not aware, maybe a bit pissed. They did put his portrait up on the big screen (when are we getting better screens btw) which worked quite well.
