Don't particularly want to get into this as I don't want to appear to be defending drink driving but for me the most important thing isn't the club showing some public punishment for a player who by all accounts is remorseful, but to provide adequate pastoral care and make sure it doesn't happen again, to him or any other player. I don't get the impression the current players we have are irresponsible dickheads in the way they previously have been (e.g. under Robson) but obviously I'm not privvy to any of that, but I don't see newspaper headlines to contradict this. I would say though that the time when Darren Gibson wrote off half a street of cars, they publicly sacked him, knowing full well he was also a liability on the pitch and therefore no loss. In contrast, they played a player they knew to be a paedophile who happened to be essential to for them to avoid relegation. But that's not my point. Watching that Netflix documentary it was crystal clear Gibson had huge problems with alcohol prior to his crash, and the club seemed to provide zero pastoral care for him. Just put a young man, an alcoholic, up to live in Ramside Hall ffs. And then washed their hands.

Fucking hell. See this is why I don't use eBay, scammers paradise.

I enjoyed it, though couldn't really concentrate as much as I wanted because it felt like the wind was going to blow the roof off on Saturday night and I kept having to chase my trampoline around the back garden (not a euphemism). I didn't really get it though. Can't see where the spoiler tags have gone so will just be incredibly vague. Why the fuck did Colm do what he did? And why the fuck did Padraic react the way he did? Also, this should be in the fillum thread.

It's the start of you being groomed imo.

I mean that's a funny story but honestly it's canny terrifying too when you think what it could do to a kid. If it were me I think I'd report the owner.

NUFC Shithousery of the Week - Fulham (H)
Renton replied to Ayatollah Hermione's topic in Newcastle Forum
It was. You can just imagine the ref rolling his eyes as he has to pause the game, again. MInd, with all this shithousery we shouldn't cirticise the opposition for doing it. But I will anyway. -
NUFC Shithousery of the Week - Fulham (H)

This thread has potential. Was a bit disappointed Lascelles didn't manage to get himself a red card. -
Caps Lock still working fine I see.

Thing is, there's being partisan and then being mackems. When they were vaguely good in the late 90s I didn't mind admitting it. I didn't hate any of their players that I can recall, and I quite liked Reid. Still do. Of course I wanted them to lose every match but I could be objective to where they were at. This lot are just a different breed though. How can they be so blinkered, en masse, to believe luck has got us into this position. Any true neutral would appreciate this side for what it is. A talented, motivated, driven team with superb tactics with the backing of a fanatical support who deserve every bit to be where they are. But take an example from today. Mackem reality. Actual reality. Showing themselves time and time again to be Sad Mackem Bastards.

No, he'll shit himself when we do.

Lucky five clean sheets in a row too. Something like 8 hours of play including away to the leaders, and luckily not conceding. God must be a Geordie.

Especially as Spurs are at home. We will do Arsenal at SJP.

So yeah, they showed the pen incident on the big screen. The weird thing was how long it took VAR to give rhe decision, seemed like ages with us winning a corner in the Gallowgate in the mean time. The locals were not amused. Didn't think the Trippier incident was a pen but thought Burn's shirt pull immediately prior was a stone wall pen anyway so fair enough. As for the double touch, no, honestly didn't notice. Thought he had ballooned it only for it to float into the net. Didn't even know why it was disallowed until I read the Sky Sports app. Tell you what though, it would have been a travesty if they had won. Other than the penalty, I don't recall Pope being tested once. And that's not to say Fulham were shit, they actually played very well. We are just fucking brilliant now (other than finishing).

Gonna hoy this here because its more than just Brexit. This is well worth a watch despite its length. I hope Starmer has some good ideas hidden behind his grey facade because honestly it looks like the country is fuckedl if you've got kids in primary school by the time they have done their GCSEs they will be worse off than their Polish peers. Then again, what do experts know?

Then for instance it's problematic to label black people as oppressed because there some exceptions to this? Is this also true in the Southern States of the US? Recognise differences here between Indian, Pakistani and Bangladeshi populations with respect to soical mobility? I'm not sure it should be problematic tbh. My interpretation on what she said and what Rayvin quoted, being entirely ignorant and naive of her political persuasion, would be she seem to be saying we should focus more on the political and social inequalities associated racism rather than the racism intself. I personally wouldn't even have thought about the wealthy Jews ruling the World trope, it wouldn't have crossed my mind from what she said. I'm unsure whether my interpretation of what she said is correct and if it is whether I agree with it of not. Of course if she is sterotyping jews in the way you think then that is very wrong. Either way, I think the socioeconomic structures of minority (and majority) groups should be up for analysis and those most disadvantaged proactively helped.
