It was absolutely tragic and didn't have a happy ending But like you, I didn't get why he didn't protect the kids who were indirectly abused. That would be the final straw for me, no matter how much I loved her. Also having kids through IVF is incredibly hard practically, emotionally, and financially. I don't understand how they managed this three times without supporting each other. I don't think we've been told the full story tbh.
