Ashby was a signing to bolster the reserves I reckon. Also a low risk gamble given the fee. Obviously Ashworth will have see something in him. We’re not just bringing in bodies for the sake of it. But I think there’ll be a policy of bringing in young prospects and looking to develop them. Then even if they don’t become first team players you can sell them on.

Aye, I know a lass I used to work with who’s been there about a year and her main concern is being able to get full residency. Was Lizzo on like? She’s done canny pop tunes Tbf. Unlike most of the acts (in the last decade or so anyway). I’m sure there’s some decent stuff if you look round the smaller stages but the headline acts seem to have been old codgers for the last 20 years at least. So you might as well go to a smaller festival that’s more your cup of char anyway. It’s a completely different event to when you had Radiohead or Orbital in the 90s. In fact Orbital still regularly play there which probably tells you everything you need to know as they must be about 60 now and haven’t released anything of note for fucking ages

Not at all hypocritical of the Sun / Mail to try and make political capital out of this though. Also, it wasn’t innovative or ground breaking. It was shaped inappropriately for a vessel for going to that depth purely to fit passengers in. It used carbon fibre because it was cheaper and suited the design. They didn’t seek accreditation because they knew the vessel would not have passed. Going against the laws of physics and tried and tested engineering principles is actually all it was.
