  1. Don’t do it to yourself, mate. As a few others have pointed out it’s basically a Liverpool fanzine at this point.
  2. I totally get it that this whole saga has left a very sour taste in the mouth. It doesn’t help that we’ve now got the international break. Which means whilst this is finished it feels like it’s still dragging on. And it’s going to be fucking nauseating if he’s successful at Liverpool, and especially because it’s them. But while it’s conjecture I think making him stay would have only lowered his value and harmed us from the point of view of setting us back at least a couple of seasons in PSR terms. There were no perfect exits from this mess but this seems like a pragmatic way out at least. The only real long term damage is if lessons aren’t learnt and the off the pitch situation isn’t dramatically improved
  3. Btw, I had to go to Framwellgate Moor yesterday and if Chester-le-Street is anything to go by then the flag nonces have taken over the ceremonial ancient historical county of Durham
  4. Does anyone think the Greens / Lib Dems or any coalition involving them would get a chance to govern? I think they’d be eviscerated at every step by the press plus the bots and troll farms that dominate social media. I’d like to think I’m wrong but I have little faith in people to see they’re being had by the likes of Farage.

  6. I think you’ve hit the nail on the head there. His accusation about the club not being run like a serious outfit (or words to that effect) has some validity. But it was far more applicable when Staveley and her hubby were doing things on the hoof. Not a dig at Staveley as that first window saved the club from relegation. But Caulkin’s no longer getting the opportunity to sit in first class on away trips with them, Hirst and co. and the access to gossip that brought
  7. Largely glosses over Isak behaving like a prize cunt and Liverpool behaving the way they did. And seems to put most of the blame on NUFC for it to the extent that it justifies the way the rat and the Scouse cunts went on. I think most of the people on here agree mistakes have been made off the pitch but I’m not sure what Caulkin expected the club to do once Isak made it clear he would not play for club again
  8. And I’d rather he went there than solving the goalkeeper issues at Man Utd
  9. The god bothering cunt not got his dream move? Diddums
  10. Also, Man City have won twice as many league titles in the last 5 years than Liverpool have won in the last 30-odd years.
  11. Mentions Liverpool breaking transfer records as though it’s a new phenomenon
  12. It would be appalling but somewhat understandable if they gained support for it rather than completely alienating their base
  13. A bloke telling another bloke what lies he should’ve told in a conversation that didn’t take place
  14. Ewerk taking this news like a bloke who lives in a country where half the population supports Liverpool
  15. And even more so considering the situation the club has been put in.
  16. Nee shit? it works both ways though, I doubt very much that Liverpool would have been the only option if you’d had Chelsea and Real Madrid come in and offer higher wages
  17. Not sure if you’re being serious but I doubt that is actually the case in many circumstances and it’s more about money
  18. Yeah, maybe. I think keeping him would have been detrimental for a load of reasons though. There’s no scenario in which there is a perfect solution after the player basically refuses to play for us again but I think selling him now is probably the best one from an NUFC point of view. Which is the most important thing really. It doesn’t feel remotely satisfying though
  19. He’s made himself publicly available all summer but only one club has bid for him. I’m not sure where this glut of clubs would have come from. Even Chelsea didn’t have a sniff around despite supposedly wanting a striker, being in the CL, winning £100m at the club World Cup and being seemingly immune to PSR constraints.
  20. Quick question - when are you coming back?
  21. The vacuum in the boardroom has meant we didn’t get Wissa in right at the start of the window. For reasons I’ve previously mentioned I think this was entirely possible. Likewise it has allowed the Isak saga to drag on and massively hamper our start to the season. If we’d been able to have a frank discussion with the player and his agent by people who could actually make the decisions then I think he could have been allowed to go for circa £130m and by waiving any loyalty bonus. That’s what has happened anyway but it’s overshadowed the whole pre-season and the first 3 competitive games. That’s where we’ve been unprofessional in all this imo. I’m not excusing Isak in any way and wish him, his agent and LFC nothing but ill. But I also think the aforementioned vacuum allowed for those parties to exploit things to their own benefit. That is where the club needs to learn. The boardroom situation has been untenable for at least a year and needs to be sorted ASAP.
