I think we signed players and intended to play with a system that suited Isak (or Etikite) and/or Wissa. Woltemade has been really good and I think he’ll be a great signing in the long term too. But it’s obviously impacted the way we’ve been able to set up away from home in particular. That doesn’t exonerate individual performances or mean Howe is infallible. But it’s definitely a big factor. I think the two positions where we have the best squad ever and we had a setback in the summer that fucked our preparations can both be true and both probably are. The other major setback as has been mentioned are the Wissa injury and having both first choice fullbacks out.
