on a more positive note it sounds like ramsey will be back for this weekend, ahead of schedule

put it in the right thread, ffs. i expected better from you
-
ruled out of the brighton game and out for another month according to various sources due to a "setback"
-
I would have preferred three at at the back in that case. He’s a good left sided centre back in a three. We played well against them with that set up last season
-
If Hall isn’t fit to start, fine. There really isn’t another option. I felt for him playing left back against Saka.
-
I despised Chaucer. Loved English lit at GCSE until the Canterbury cunt ruined A levels for me
-
he’s obviously a brilliant centre back but other teams target him at left back. It also puts pressure on the left winger to get back to help him defend. Gordon spent almost the entire match doing so against Arsenal. Burn at left back weakens our entire left side. He’s not a full back. Hall is a much better option. If he’s fit he has to start.
-
I hope that’s all it is. I’ve got a feeling he wants burn in the side, even if it means playing him out of position. I guess we’ll find out
-
Love the bloke: club legend, England international, our best defender for the past couple of years. But please, please, please: stop playing him at left back! Lewis Hall has to come in while Tino is out. Botman and Thiaw could be our new first choice CB pairing. They’re certainly the future. Neither deserve to be dropped. It would also be incredibly harsh to drop Burn but rotate them instead - we have to stop shoehorning Burn in at left back.

Get set for a SEASON-DEFINING victory. 5-0 to us. Elanga with all five

i think that's something we'll see at some point, probably against low block defences or if we're chasing a goal in the second half. i'm not sure eddie is ready to abandon his tried and trusted 4-3-3 just yet. i made this point the other day but if we are to make that jump from high intensity transitional team to a more possesion-based side, joelinton is the one to miss out. he's the least technical of our midfield three. the one question i would have about that formation is whether bruno has the legs to play a double pivot. there is a lot of pressure on a midfield two. i'm convicned sandro can do it. bruno, i'm not so sure. he can get caught in posession.
-
no, i don't think so. you need a double pivot in that formation. one central midfielder would leave our back three horribly exposed. nick plays as the central striker in that formation, with the two wide men getting close to him and beyond him - as they did well last night in a 4-3-3 you could play a 3-5-2 with gordon and nick up top to allow to nick drop deep, as he likes to do, but you lose your wide men and rely on the wingbacks for width.

she will always be mine because I think I was the first on here to share one of her videos. toontastic has spoken. And toontastic etiquette is like a 10ft wall - you can’t get over it.

A post fully deserving it’s 14 lol responses. I can’t say why, but resourceful, jocular Poles was the line that made me laugh most

He is making himself undroppable

Managed to get a ticket for the Benfica game

definitely. The front three were all really encouraging. Signs that they’re learning how to play with Nick, who looked much better as a result. Thought Elanga was class, Gordon had his best game in ages and both Barnes and Osula looked up for it after coming off the bench. All the forward players contributed. Couldn’t have hoped for a better performance really. Should be a massive confidence boost going into the Forest game.
-
8 weeks is a blow but could have been so much worse if it was his ACL.
-
his best performance for us so far. The players around him seem to be understanding how to play off him better. Getting in and around makes a big difference and he seemed much less isolated.
-
yeah, I dunno who they both were but they had done their research on us and were unusually insightful
-
We were good value for that win. Thought it might have been a banana skin given our form but we bossed it from the start. The front three worked much better with big Nick linking up play well and Gordon getting much closer to him, playing almost as a second striker at times. Elanga was superb too. I really hope he doesn’t persist with Burn at left back and that Hall starts against Forest.

Toxic Town - also v good

i think eddie's staying with us until he wins the title or england come calling

the band and dando's voice still sounded great but the carry on between songs was a shambles. the crowd laughed along at first but it definitely got a bit awks at times - the geezer was mashed. he was too wired for it to be smack but he was out of his nut on something
