  1. Aye, was HF's thread that inspired me. You'll be amazed at how many ideas come straight from forums though (all across the web), I've had tons of ideas myself thanks to forums, some are waiting to be developed, some never got off the ground and some are already in existence. The next one is inspired by you 2J
  2. Cheers fellas for the kind words. Aye as HF says it is still a work in progress, only a few weeks old really. I can't believe I missed Goodfellas mind as that's a fave of mine, I've noticed I've missed a few others too like Casino that was on one of the Sky channels the other week. I added Herbie under "for kids", that's how that one got in DK, I'll have to have a look out for that channel, what number is it? There is also a TCM2 isn't there? Worth adding? And what about them film channels like Truth 24 or whatever they are called, just after TCM I think on Sky Digi?
  3. Fop does share a canny resemblance with me, he talks utter shite
  4. Oh aye, FS will be. Burning the number 6 shirt in his office as I write.
  5. I hope that isn't the case. What the league needs IMO is for the likes of us, Spurs, Everton and Villa, big clubs who have done nowt in the Premiership (excluding a few seasons under SBR and KK for us of course, but the norm for us is mid-table) to get our arses into gear, and for the likes of Leeds, Forest and the mackems dare I say it to come back up, to replace the Wigans of this world. Ideally anyway.
  6. David Kelly was underrated in my opinion, always thought he was a clever footballer, took his goals well. Shame he didn't get to enjoy the rise of Newcastle United as a Premiership force, having done so much to get us there.
  7. Big risk at that price, surprised really. I hope no Toon fan is gutted about this, great player for us when fit but that is a lot of money for someone so injury prone.
  8. Agreed. Say what you like about Man Utd but their whole success is self financed. Chelsea's isn't so in my opinion their success is kind of false. As a club I can't stand them. They have zero class and the sooner they lose their sugar daddy, the better for football. Or if not, may they lose out to proper clubs like Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal et al and even foreign clubs who I'd much rather see lift the Champions League than those classless wankers. They epitomize everything that is wrong with the game and I'd love it if Man Utd beat them to the double or even treble, that's how much I despise them or rather their way of doing things.
  9. The GREATEST films on (UK) TV site on the web that's what
  10. Bought a few DVDs that were snide, despite being advertised as the real thing. But they were cheap enough and played well so I wasn't too bothered. Other than that, no bother at all. Although I get the odd e-mail claiming to be from Ebay...
  11. Just goes to show, when your time is up... Heart Attack? He looked well in the summer, and 61, that's no age for someone who has always kept himself fit and well. Shame. Rip
  12. Shite game, both were fairly average. Have Chelsea ran out of steam? Drogba looks knackered as does Lampard, and even Terry looks exhausted. The return should be better as Liverpool will have to attack and that could make for an open game.
  13. Wordpress is capable of being a main site, with countless blogs running from it, if that is what you mean? I've been using it for a year or so now covering various website topics (N.O is ran off it as is the site in my sig) and it is without doubt the best blog/CMS software on the web in my opinion, certainly that I've used. Not only is it free but the support is brilliant too and it is piss easy to work with, even for novices which you aren't so you could manipulate it even further I imagine like write your own plugins and such. I haven't used it for multi-blogs like but it is capable.
  14. Great, we bring in a LB when the transfer window is closed and the season is all but over. I swear this club does things backwards. How about in the close season Glenn, or Jan perhaps?
  15. The criticism has been way over the top and quite sad to be honest given that he probably gives his all to the cause more than anyone else and is behind a good few who do deserve some flack.
  16. Beardsley as manager? I like the bloke and what he did for us as a player was special indeed, but he isn't management material in my opinion. Stick to talk-ins Pedro.
  17. Who would want Big Sam? Money Since taking over at Bolton Wanderers back in 1999 Big Sam has spent £17.35m which works out at a mere £2.16875m per season (our average spend per season is £9m +), and incredibly he has brought in £23.29m in sales, effectively operating without a budget. The average cost of a Bolton player under his management is less than £500,000 - Big Sam has acheived promotion, a Cup Final, Premiership consolidation and European qualification on half a million pound buys basically. People talk about Arsene Wenger's shrewdness in the transfer market but Big Sam has shown there is no-one better at getting full value for money and working within the confines of a strict budget. I would, for me the best manager outside of the top four by some distance, sadly can't see it happening like.
  18. p.s. anyone thinking huntley from that pic? or is it just me? Looks like that nonce out of The Green Mile, the bloke they lock in the padded cell who ends up in a spacka joint at the end after the big black bloke breathes that shit into him. Or Jim Carey somewhat.
  19. it's fuck all to do with wierd sht, it's a basic thing that happens in your brain called association as for the fucked up dreams, most likely a hangover from the whole peasepud/zeitung incident but anyhoo, what the fuck do I know....
  20. that's cool and everything, but I've already got like 20 off Ebay tbh Do you want another blue fucking peter badge or something then?! Bonnie wept.
  21. BTW Dyer on form deserves to be in there like, and I'm not a big fan of his. He hasn't played especially well, but he's scoring goals (shock horror) and does cause teams problems, which is better than playing well but with no end product like he used to do.
  22. And he passed for 12? Shouldn't laugh like
  23. Shaun Wright-Phillips? Jesus wept, what must Milner be thinking, or Young even. He isn't going to start so I just don't see the point. Arrrr... why do I even give a shit about England and internationals.
  24. Half those players shouldn't be anywhere near the squad, including our own Parker based on form, this is one of the reasons why we keep failing, unimaginative selection policy. I'd love to see an England manager drop all the big names and past squad regulars and call up a load of players based on their club form and say right, there you go, see what you can do. It wouldn't half be exciting and different and may throw up a gem or two. No doubt the media would kick up a fuss about devaluing the cap though.
