Come on man, it was a bad loss for Man U but there's no need for Heysel retaliations. We all know it was mass murder.

Why does everyone whinge on about that ??? They all fucking do it these days. It's not cheating any more, it's being professional or "clever". Sad but true, and I hate it, but now accept it. Messi is about the only player who religiously rides a tackle (a long lost skill - that, even Leazes may agree with me on), just about every fucker else (and I mean every fucker worldwide) feels a breath of wind and goes down. Basically, aye. Anyone who watches that team and sees "cheats" over "world class footballers" must have an agenda tbh, which tbf Stevie has (though I don't really know why). People also criticising them for Unicef because it's 'paving the way' to shirt sponsorship. Which other teams would even 'pave the way'? Every other team on earth just rolls over to the fattest cheque book at the end of the day, at least they've given Unicef about £100 millions worth of free advertising.

Aye, I'm glad he went for the Joan Hickson Marple too btwinstead of the modern shite. Nice touch. I've got the boxed set for £50.

Yeah I've always dreamed of going Bath and Cambridge before I die. Those visits would complete me. Talk about scraping the fucking barrel. What a load of utter shite. The only possible reason you would go to Liverpool is to get a passport, football, or to get your photo taken beside the Penny Lane sign. That's being honest. From the same paper.... Bath is the most beautiful city in the UK though tbf. Not said ironically either, it's just superb. Ashamed to admit I've never even been to Edinburgh.

Do you have figures for that manc mag, I'd be interested, because I worked in the city centre for around 20 years and came across as many UK citizens visiting the city as I did foreigners? I realise anecdotal evidence doesn't prove anything. I read somewhere that Manchester was the 3rd most visited city, but that people using the airport were included in the figures. I realise that the same would apply to all cities with airports, but Manchester airport must be 2nd or 3rd in the country for passenger numbers. Don't have the source but I'm pretty sure Liverpool's overall tourist numbers are more heavily skewed towards the foreign visitor when compared to other comparable cities. Manchester's is also kept conspicuously high by Man U though I concede. Newcastle is by far more UK based tourists. Hardly any there for eg the football (Man U/Liverpool) or the music (Beatles), all there for the present day vibrancy of the city (ie stag and hen parties getting slaughtered).

Gets lots of visitors, but not many of them British, which probably speaks volumes. Only 30 miles away from me but really absolutely no need to go there, ever.

Know absolutely nowt about him at all, but the single touch at 0.17 (repeated at 0.26) tells me all I need to know that he's got talent. Just about whether he's consistent or not.

Or Platini's rules being worth a shite !! It'd be nice if that proved to be the case, but I live in the real world. I'll be viewing any percentile of change as a bonus, however small, but I won't be raising my hopes unduly.

The time and whether it was a waste is immaterial, but it's a fact that the years in europe and the expansion of the stadium, and what that brought, was "wasted" or squandered if you prefer. We were about to drop into the old third division, let alone the stadium. Everything about the club, yes the liabilities but also the merchandising and corporate sales side was vastly improved. I would take us at the point Mike bought the club to when John Hall did easily. The paradox being that John Hall (now) wouldn't. And that's not me either agreeing or disagreeing with the point made either-just trying to illustrate how pointless the argument has now become. Well, I agree he wouldnt. He's a very switched on bloke. He could see the cash that could be made from rescuing the club, growing and then floating it. The club could be bought and refloated again but the same kind of mark up couldnt be made. But, I'd still say we're in a better position now (or when MA bought the club) than when SJH bought it. True, in fact it's likely that a loss could be made depending on several factors. As fans we're detached from those issues, but it's at the very forefront of a buyers mind. This is why I think it's a pointless argument. Obviously as a fan, bottom middle of the Prem is better than bottom of the old Second Division. Looking to the future though, it's pretty much irrelevant; that's entirely dependent upon the profile (meaning independent, liquid wealth) of one's next owner.

Shouldn't be allowed to see it if it was filmed in open court. Common law is tricky by it's nature as it is basically made up as you go along. Much like most law.

Is it a comfortable position? Hell no when is charity work ever secure? Its all about locating funding! And it's Jan in the hot seat! Bit of respect for the job wouldn't come amiss, Chez.
