  1. I do find it fascinating that some clubs can keep that winning mentality (they know how to win trophies if you like, don't let pressure effect them) no matter how many changes of players/ managers/ back-room staff they have. Other clubs (ourselves included) can throw money around until the cows come home and never win anything because we lack that mental edge. By the way Stevie, make sure you're listening to H&J at about half three tomorrow, I'm pretty sure they do Clever Trevor on thursdays.
  2. The one on Top Gear wasn't? It was. http://www.bugatti-cars.de/bugatti/index.html Try the configurator. You can have more subtle combinations but it has to be two-tone. Goes back to the days of the Bugatti Royale apparently.
  3. We'd have the fifth best dress sense in the premier league.
  4. I think Bugatti insist that you have to have them in the two-tone colour scheme. Not sure why, maybe some historical connection.
  5. Reggae Reggae Sauce hits the shelves
  6. I haven't seen any of the Star Wars films and intend to keep it that way.
  7. I wouldn't tbh. I know it's good for our UEFA coefficient and the number of European places available to the Premiership and all that, but European success for the "big 4" = more money and greater player pulling power for the "big 4" = less chance of us ever getting back among the "big 4". My sentiments exactly. Come on Barca!
  8. Dirty night-beforers You'll smell them before you see them tbh.
  9. Ferrari seem to be ahead of Mclaren on pure pace at the moment and if recent history is anything to go by they should be more reliable too. It's interesting to see that Massa has been consistently quicker than Raikonnen in testing. Wonder if Ferrari will let them fight head-to-head? Hamilton looks to be a talent, and as long as Alonso doesn't blow him into the weeds in the first few races I think he'll do a decent job. The Sauber-BMW car seems to be fast and well-sorted but we'll see what they can do over a race weekend. As an aside, I hope Williams have a decent season. I applaud them for designing and building their own car, rather than taking the customer chassis option some of the lower ranking teams seem to be trying. I'd like to see them have a more successful season than the works Toyota team.
  10. I'm a toilet reader. Some car magazines, old copies of Q, "Does anything eat wasps?" and "The QI book of general ignorance" in there. The sort of thing you can dip in and out of. The Da Vinci Code was good toilet reading as the chapters were just the right lenght for a nice poo.
  11. The new Maximo Park album. I'm not instantly won over by it tbh.
  12. Lost contact a few years back with a mate I'd known since junior school. He set up with this lass and just disappeared off the map. So fuck him. Got a mate who lives at the other end of the country now that I've known since secondary school. Still stay in touch and see each other two or three times a year. In fact I'm going down there to stay with him and his Mrs for a couple of days later in the month. My other two closest mates I've known since university. They both live in Bradford and we usually meet up every couple of months. The rest of my friends I've met through work or people I work with. I'm quite choosy about friends now. I've got enough good close friends so I don't tend to make much of an effort with new folks now. I tend to go on a first impressions now, rightly or wrongly.
  13. Helen Keller was taught sign language by Alexander Graham Bell. Little fact for you there.
  14. Fixed your post for you there Champ. Don't the Intertoto cup winners automatically qualify then?
  15. It's called make another world and it was released here last week. It's alright a bit stronger than their last. I didn't really like Warnings Promises after loving all they had done before. Don't think they're the same since Bob Fairfoul left tbh. Might give the new one a listen before I make my mind up. You should because there is more of the JMC sound that they were heading to than the sad sack that was Warning Promises. Yep, it's pretty good. Couple of fillers near the end but overall, decent.
  16. Can't think of anything I've not tried that I'm curious about. Had haggis for the first time on Burns Night which was delicious and tried a Parmo for the first time a couple of weeks back which was filling but nowt spesh.
  17. *goes for a look* It's about 3/4 covered. Quite impressive, lovely clear sky.
  18. surely its not asking a lot to have all car cd players built with an audio in jack socket? Or am I being naive? Well if i can get the player in I think i may try one of these transmitters you can get for less than a tenner on play.com, nothing to lose eh? You might be lucky but occasionally you will get interfrence. I got a Goodmans stereo for my car that has an iPod connector lead, only cost me about £80, that plays CD's too. well for a tenner i could live with the occasional interference. just had a quick try at getting the cassette player out using wire coat hangers and it wouldn't budge. Damn fallen at the first hurdle! I'll try again later and see if my dad-in-law can help. You should have asked a couple of weeks back when our scouse chums were visiting the board. Could have it out in seconds. And sold for skag.
