  1. I'm still on a Galaxy S2. I think Gemmill should buy me one.
  2. One more and it'll be windmilling time. Keys between my fingers for extra damage.
  3. Aye, that's my point. There was a period where they were only putting their head out to say something stupid, inflammatory or the complete opposite of what people wanted to hear. Even then, people DEMANDED more of the same. Fairly sure it was just to complain. I'd much rather they just went out and ran the club well and shut the fuck up.
  4. £240 used from Grainger Games. No Kinect like but I really couldn't give two fucks about voice control. With Gears Ultimate, it set me back about £270 all together.
  5. Aye. I've never quite understood the frantic need for communication from them but it is nice that they're attempting to be more transparent. I don't expect a similar outlay in January but an addition or two to cover up any glaring injuries/squad holes would be a good continuation.
  6. Aye, I had to knock down the first touch and pass error settings to a pitifully low number to stop my players miscontrolling everything. As always, I'll wait for my mate to buy it, I'll play it and see how annoying it is before saying "fuck it" and buying it anyway.
  7. Just got an Xbox One. It's canny. Sunset Overdrive - Incredibly annoying style aside, it's a lot of fun. You're basically grinding and bouncing around these areas, fighting enemies that blow up in very satisfying ways. A nice variety to the missions, weapons and locations stop it from being too boring and there's a load of little side challenges that'll test your abilities to kill things or jump through things in a short amount of time. I'm going to fire through it and then move onto one of Dead Rising 3, D4 or Ori and the Blind Forest for my Xbone exclusives. Also picked up Gears Ultimate. The multiplayer in that is still amazing and I'm still fucking nails at it.
  8. All devices that can connect to the internet in your house buried under that plot, hopefully.
  9. So, it's for people who have more money than sense?
  10. Nobody has actually explained to me why you'd want want of these. Not on the wind-up here, I just don't get it.
  11. My mate is dreadful for it as well. It's even worse when we're on about comedies and he starts throwing out jokes from it to get me to watch it. I don't fucking have to now that you've told me all the punchlines, dickhead.
  12. Aye, McClaren, in general, has been refreshing to listen to. Pardew's inability to praise one of his players without also touting them about is one of the reasons that the "selling club" patter still lingers about. As for this window, not sure you can complain. Well, you can but that would be typical of us tbh. 50 million spent, overhaul of the coaching staff, key players kept on and no position is in immediate need of addressing IMO. Aye, some are weaker than others but ffs, we're a mid table Premier League side. I'm willing to give it time.
  13. They were shite, live, aye. First two albums are amazing though. De-Loused is that perfect middle ground between incredible playing, strongly put together songs, amazing production and a strong concept with some really tight mixing. Frances the Mute was a bit more sprawling, dabbled in jazz a little bit more, widened the instrumentation but is still an incredible achievement, if flawed compared to the first. Then, after Amputechture, it all went to shit though Bedlam in Goliath was a solid little De-Loused lite type album. their worst tendency was their lack of discipline and self-control and that all came out when they were playing live.
  14. Lascelles is in there as well who, all things considered, is probably as good as Williamson and has the upside of potentially getting better.
  15. Some of the albums that completely changed my musical outlook as a fresh-faced 15 year old are 10 years old now ffs. Took me from a heavy rock loving dweeb to the eclectic hero you see before you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oc65hFCls8E 2004 - 2008 was a beautiful time for music as a teenager with a broadband connection. Illegal downloads in those days were amazing; there'd be entire forums and blogs devoted to specific genres that you could just load up every day and get anything you wanted.
  16. Midnight Meets The Rain is gorgeous as well. Depression Cherry gets better with every listen; I'm getting strong Twin Peaks/Julee Cruise vibes from the second half of the album, definitely so I'm just putting it on repeat all day.
  17. Enjoying the new Destroyer album. I'd have to go back and re-familiarise myself with Destroyer's Rubies and Kaputt but it's the most I've immediately enjoyed a Destroyer album. Listened to the new Foals album and that all seems to blend into one big song but I'll need to actually sit and commit my attention to it.
  18. There actually is a mackem at our place who is sound right until you get on about football. He just refuses to believe that our start is any harder than theirs.
  19. That lot continues to be the oddest fanbase in England. I've never seen a collective trying to convince themselves of something more than they do. Doesn't matter what it is; quality of players, their standing opposite us. Scoring past us is literally all it takes for them to believe someone is half decent. I wonder if they'd be over the moon if David Vaughan came back.
  20. Borini back there for 8 million. Ellis Short will never learn.
  21. Aye, it's like when barbers would tell you to get your hair cut every 6 weeks to get you back in the shop.
