  1. Wanted to try and get a Premiership club, I think. Has probably fell back on us when nobody would take him on.
  2. Unless you're a fat cunt intent on the complete destruction of NUFC of course! I agree, it would be a stupid sale on every level, si i expect theres a big chance it will happen. I should have probably added that I can see why he'd do it in terms of profiting from him but if he reckons we can get out of this league, Krul is the type of player we need to keep. Then again, Ashley probably reckons he can recoup a load of money and get promoted on the bare minimum anyway.
  3. Will take Lovenkrands at this level. Think he'll be a handful for teams. Then again, at this point, I'd take just about anyone.
  4. How much is Krul going to be on? There's absolutely no reason to sell him that I can immediately think of.
  5. What's Phil Brown wearing on Goals on Sunday?
  6. Possibly but I think when he has played he hasn't been indifferent - I know his legs have gone but he can still sometimes do a job imo. He could be useful getting crosses into the box for Shola and Carroll IMO. Probably the least mobile player we have in the side though.
  7. Any news on Barton? Him walking off the pitch gives me a bit of hope that it's not too serious.
  8. Thought he really dragged us forward well today and, while he doesn't have an end product, there's nobody in the squad who can run at players and we can use to launch counter attacks. I assume he won't be replaced.
  9. Got a lot of time for him, especially after the current mess but even following the departure of Keegan. At the time, he was still obviously out of his depth but thought he went about things with a similar professionalism which was impressive. And I hope he is creating a siege mentality. It's exactly what we need to get out of the division.
  10. Was just wondering why no team had snapped him up yet and I'd definately take him. Hopefully he adds some needed depth and quality to the backline rather than replaces an outbound player.
  11. what was he doing? dunno, just going by some of the comments on Twitter Seemed to applaud and arselick more than he usually does but I wouldn't be surprised if he's using the good performance to milk some more love. EDIT: beaten like a ginger stepchild
  12. Tell you what, it must be a barrel of laughs on our training ground. It just seems to oozes team spirit.
  13. Aye but whos signing is it? Hughton's?? Calderwood's?? Ashley's?? Kinnear's?? Aye, that passed through my head actually. Are we to believe that Hughton is now in for the long haul so he's targetting players?
  14. A right back, isn't he? Look at that, we've replaced a player. Sort of.
  15. The "N'Zogbia" looky likey ?
  16. FAIL. Not an attempt at a joke. It was said in seriousness.
  17. Someone told me I look like Charles N'Zogbia. I'm white.
  18. A gem from that other thread from Stevie "You have such sensationally shite patter. One of my teachers was from your town, he was a dickhead as well."
  19. He'd have to be since we have nobody else similar to him at all. He'd probably get a decent run as well since there's no way Jonas will get replaced when he fucks off.
  20. A bit more trivial than other suggestions but for people that can't attend the roadshows, would you be able to post a live audio stream on the website? And make it available to download after the fact? I think that's a good way for those who, either had prior engagements or live outside of Newcastle to get a taste of the debate and issues that arise. If this already happens then, disregard.
  21. Would rather not sell him. Paper thin options up front and yesterday he showed enough to give you the sense he could be useful in the coming season. Put himself about well, is good in the air but needs someone alongside him that can read his flicks and play off him.
