  1. Fantastic. Essentially confirming our better players will leave (which we knew tbf) and nobody will come in.
  2. I'd advise COD4 over GOW 1. Not because one is better than the other but because GOW1's playerbase is pretty much made up of people that have been playing the thing since launch and the difficulty curve will be steep and could probably get frustrating quickly. COD4 is a game that's perfect for dipping in, having 20 minutes of game time and finding people that are new to the game too. Not many arcade games have large user-bases anymore but the new Battlefield game might be busy for a while and it's supposed to be good. Burnout Paradise is always busy online and is probably the best arcade racer on the console if you're in to those types of games. But really, get a mate, both of you buy Saint's Row 2 and play that together. You'll enjoy every second. There's really nothing like running through a shopping mall naked with a samurai sword, chopping up Barbershop Quartets, stealing a quadbike, stopping to get an afro and bouncing out of the place with Culture Club in the background.
  3. Always Sunny in Philadelphia Your kitten giving you trouble? Try Kitten Mittens!
  4. You've got a way with words, my friend.
  5. Please say there is pictures
  6. Glad to hear it. Im driving so got a full car. I am genuinely excited for the new season and honestly believe all will come good Ooh, prepare to have the grim reality come down on you when you see the first glimpse of Championship action.
  7. Maybe nobody wants our shite? Or there have been offers but MA is holding out for unreasonable prices (which wouldn't surprise me). Also, who have we lost from contract expiration? Owen, Viduka and Cacapa?
  8. I think Gears 2 suffered from a lack of balance on a lot of the maps and that's what put me off. Often, you could just discredit a win on Wingman because of where you spawned and weapon spawns seemed hap-hazard at best. Plus, the smoke grenades doing damage really took away a lot of strategy when it came to rushing a sniper camp or whatever since you couldn't really get up close and personal to them. Gears 1 suffered from a lot of balance issues on some maps (Escalation specifically and Rooftops had too much balance with the two HODs) but the sequel is supposed to fix these things, not ruin them. I don't think GOW2 is terrible but it's not on the level of GOW1/COD4.
  9. Oblivion's DLC was brilliant. Shivering Isles was a worthy addition and lifespan wise, it's probably longer than all five Fallout DLC packs put together. The Vile Lair, Frostcrag Mansion, Battlethorn Castle, Orerry where all good peices of DLC and considering Bethesda charged these packs at a bargain of 200MS, there were worthy purchases. Horse Armour Erm, Horse Armour existed btw. And it cost 400 before they knocked it down. http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/of...307d1?cid=SLink Battlethorn Castle was shite and I got it for free. Just another boring locale with a silly little quest attached. I'm not sure how one extra quest plus a castle that is boring to explore is good DLC. The Spell Tomes is decent value at 80 points. Mehrunes Razor is 250 points for one new dungeon ffs. The Orrery is one quest that really doesn't have a decent reward for your stats that couldn't be achieved by levelling in the vanilla game. And Frostcrag Spire is shite, man You get a new house and the quest is to make it look nice. It's the very definition of rip-off and developers will continue to release games with no real life-span because they know people will buy any DLC they put out. The whole fad needs to disappear.
  10. Yeah, Bethesda's DLC has seemed to be worth it with this unlike Oblivion's pathetic excuses for DLC. For every Shivering Isles, there was a Horse Armour.
  11. raylor saylor Raylor isn't a football and Saylor just isn't that good at RB. STaylor's better at RB then he is CB tbh. Means his lack of concentration and poor positioning isn't as suspect. Plus, he's half-decent getting forward.
  12. A true legend and hero of the game and a great man to boot. Cheers for the memories, Bobby. R.I.P.
  13. Resigned to him leaving as soon as we went down. A shame we couldn't have had 11 players with his level of ability and he seemed to genuinely like playing for us but realises that his career has to take precedence. I can't blame him for wanting out.
  14. They're gonna taste great something about a Pi-RATE What a pain that one was.
  15. The question we all want to know the answer to; Crepes or Crap?
  16. When Biffa introduced me to Niall I did tell him that I'd assumed he was an imaginary friend. I think their take is that message boards are not worth the hassle and they spend enough time just doing .com (I mean from a running one pov). Oh, I understand why they wouldn't run one themselves with this and N.O. about but I just find it odd that they wouldn't have some kind of presence in the online community. Cheers for the replies.
  17. Not sure you could say that for last season. He was ineffectual and never seemed to be giving anything approaching his all.
  18. Do they post on any Newcastle-related message boards? While they've become a bit less important in the scheme of things with regards to ITK information and, even, match reports, I'm interested to know if they post on any boards. I know a lot of people don't agree with their standpoint on a lot of things and wonder if they ever have an open forum for people to discuss their opinions etc. Also, to my knowledge, they go to all the youth games too, don't they? It'd be interesting to see a studied opinion on the players coming through. I don't get on to N.O. so sorry if they're on there and it's common knowledge.
  19. Let's hope this isn't read by an over-zealous FBI department.
  20. Call of Duty under the Treyarch banner was shit long before WAW. The PS2 port of COD2 was shambolic and COD3 wasn't much better. Quantum of Solace had decent enough multiplayer, I suppose.
