The team my lad plays with are sound. The parents are all canny too. They were training up at Bullocksteads though and thank Christ he doesn't play for some of the teams that get up there. Some of the volunteer coaches think they are elite and the parents are wannabe gangsters that moonlight as stand up comics. Neither of which is the case - Ironically, this exact type of terminally dull cunt is why I wrapped in Sunday league as a kid because they were playing and made it not fun to be around. Wouldn't even get on the drink with my mates on their team nights out because the lads they played with were complete wankers.
