    Drink driving

Nee chance of me doing it, like. If there's likely to be drink involved in anything I'll just not take the car. I know for a fact I'd struggle to drive properly after a drink anyway. I have always been incapable of having two or three without feeling completely nackered afterwards. I always get a yawn attack unless I carry on drinking. I don't feel the need to find out how bad this would make me behind the wheel! I can see what people mean about it having been accepted in the past though. I remember my mate's fatha saying they all used to get wankered and drive thier transit van to away games etc. with the driver just as involved as the rest. Same sort of thing when I was watching the second series of Auf Pet for the first time and seeing them all jump in the minivan after a session. It was just the done thing then, seemingly. I appreciate that's not real by the way, it was just an example.
  2. Typical, bet you need it now tonight? And you need it more than ever?
  3. Is that the one where you shouted something along the lines of 'I know him off the internet' when my ugly dial graced the screen at one of our european aways? Snakey, I'm not sure how long it's been since you went to the one on your ava, but it's totally different now. Not that I ever gan in like, I just walk past it a lot. To be honest, there's about 6 bars within 15 minutes walk of my house, and I never drink in any of them. When me and the lads were all too young, we made our way through them all gradually. As one started IDing people we'd move onto the next. As soon as most of us were old enough we never bothered with them any more, and havent much since. Whitley Bay was experiencing a bit of a rebirth when I started drinking aswell, and it was so close we just went there all the time. Rarely ever go now like. It's fucking shite. If I had a 'local' it would probably be in the town.
  4. Nah, she was the object of my desktop a couple of years ago. Haven't kept up to date with Chuck but I'd assume she's still fit as fuck.
  5. People always say flying takes longer after you've added checking in, security, transport to the centre at the other end and that, but I have to say I do find it less of a fuck on than the train sometimes. A couple of years ago when we played Zulte Waragem in the UEFA Cup, we decided to get the train from Newcastle to Ghent, where the match was being played. Just fancied trying the Eurostar out, rather than fly like we do most of the time. The journey down was fine, but on the way back on the Friday, we got into London to discover the East Coast line was off south of Peterborough due to a signal failure at Biggleswade (don't ask me why I can still remember that!) and that there wouldn't be any trains for the forseeable. To cut a long story short, we ended up going up the West Coast from Euston, then accross. Virgin accepted our tickets 'as a gesture of goodwill' though to be honest they were fucked regardless as it was Friday, rush hour, and everyone would be using them to get home whether they liked it or not. As you can imagine, the trains were fucking rammed beyond the point of 'safe' with people standing in the bogs and all sorts. Arseholes in First Class were kicking off about people standing in there with pleb tickets aswell. Amazing how people turn into total wankers in situations like that. Just passing through Birmingham, there was an announcement.. 'Ladies and Gentlemen, due to a number of people asking, we would just like to make it clear that the gentleman in Coach F has purchased a walk on ticket for his Surf Board.' If I was him I'd have found out who was asking and smashed them over the head with it. To be fair though he'd have struggled to move his arms. Normally in situations like that we'd have got pissed and got on with it, but we couldn't even do that!

    Stevie

Happy Birthday, Stevie. Have a good one.
  9. Which is normally where the gym comes in handy more than ever, but I haven't been able to get to mine without a massive fuck on so I've not been at all this week. It's shite like, I already feel worse off for it. Probably half psychological but still, the sooner I can get back in there, the better.
  10. Glad I checked to see if this thread was here before I posted it myself. Would have looked a right prize turkey.
  11. Can't see a bloke holding pints in the one Chez posted, like.
  12. I would automatically have assumed that was going to be something filthy happening, if it wasn't forthe bloke on the phone doing amateur dramatics.
  13. Couple of the lads and me have just recently booked a three week trip to America in April. Flying Newcastle - Paris - Atlanta - Vegas - LA (I know, lazy) - New York - Amsterdam - Newcastle. Got those flights for £580. Haven't decided whether or not to do the Canyon and Hoover Dam yet, one of the other two have already been to Vegas and done it anyway.
  14. Get an appointment with STA Travel, mate. People think they're just for students and people in their early twenties but they aren't. They got me a canny deal on Australia a couple of years back and have just done it again for a trip I'm taking to America.
  15. Happy Birthday, have a good one!
  16. Alreet! I remember you saying you were ill, you on the mend now? Nice to see you can get back on here anyway!
