  1. I'm not going to watch it, just listen and I won't be wearing my home top either - it's all superstition for me, which itself is odd because it's the only thing I have superstitions with...
  2. I guess I fit in to the category of one of the fans not borne of Newcastle but adopted in the early 90s - until that point I had never been interested in or even liked football. I've stuck with Newcastle United ever since, be it the good times or bad and I have no intention of ever changing - if we go down I see it as WE. I'm proud to be a fan of Newcastle United and I thank you for your post Stevie, it is exactly how I feel.
  3. I would genuinely be interested in seeing a graph showing both teams from the beginning, the reason being that I see the two clubs reasonably on par as far as far as what they've won is concerned. The only major difference being fan base and current ground size.
  4. From the Chron: The last bit amused me, just clarifies Wise's scouting talents for me.
  5. Just watched it again - there's fuck all wrong with it and Schwarzer used it to his advantage IMO. I agree - perfectly good goal. Shame you can't appeal goals really
  6. Getting away from the 'Soopa-fan' debate, Kev was fooking awesome though
  7. I sure do, still, I know when I'm right - regardless of whether I'm at the match or not
  8. The club's fucked while Ashley and his cronies have anything to do with it, I'd be gutted if Shearer left but would I expect it? Yes.
  9. Agree totally. I can't believe any of the fans who were around for his fist time as manager (And definitely those who suffered all the shite before him) can think he's anything other than a legend here. No one man has ever made the fans of this city so happy and proud of their club as he did, giving us so much enjoyment, belief and hope along the way and lets not forget saving us from falling into division 3 and possibly going out of existence. And that's not even thinking about his time here as a player! Is exactly how I feel. That Viva La Keegan video 2J did always brings a lump to my throat, I'e never felt so excited or entusiastic about football as I did when Kevin Keegan stepped through our doors - anyone who says differently just isn't a true fan of Newcastle United if they say otherwise. Bollocks. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but to suggest you are not a fan of the club if you don't hero-worship Keegan is bullshit imo. For the record I had grave doubts about Keegan's return and his motives, doubts that still remain despite Ashley clearly being a prick. Your suggestion that that somehow makes me less entitled to support our club than yourself is pretty obnoxious tbh. I can live with that, I guess you know where you sit in my eyes then. There was always going to be concerns about Keegan returning but I'd far more trust being under his stewardship than pretty much most managers I can think of, life was good as a Newcastle fan both times when Keegan was manager because I always looked forward to every match. A true fan would understand Keegan's worth imo.

    Sad Cunts

Two things, it's laughable that they have to rely on other teams to mock us and they can only dream they'll ever be as big as us

  12. Yep, it bothers me that there's teams down there who are used to that league and will probably have more money to spend than us as well.
  13. It'd be daft to let him go really, if he wants to stay that is. We've got a small enough squad as it is without letting any more go.
  14. Hard one to predict, hopefully we'll carry on from where we left off on Monday night.
  15. Bugger, he'd done well in my dream team too

    Scum

I'm with Danny on this one, to a degree any ways. The whole thing's blown out of all proportion, there's too many people jump on the lefty bandwagon over this. It's a football chant, hardly the end of the world, get over it.
  17. He got it wrong, we all knew it and finally it sank in
  18. Bolton want Barton and he'll be a lot cheaper to them if we're in the Championship...
  19. Boo-fucking-hoo, like we haven't had enough bad decisions against us this season, big nosed cock knocker
  20. I guess with both teams needing a win we'll both be attacking, it'll just be a matter of who wants it more I think... ... we're f*cked. I just can't see us scoring because no matter how many chances we've had lately they just don't seem to be able to put them away, with that in mind I'll go for a 0-0 draw of a loss with us not scoring.
  21. It's a fair point, the press will find examples of how they want to portray Toon fans no matter what anyone does. We'd be just as well having fans showing their disgust and contempt at how we got in to this mess in the first place.
