  1. Just had these links sent to me by a Spuds fan, they don't help themselves do they?... http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/artic...aves120708.html http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/news/artic...boys120708.html
  2. Can you imagine him saying that about scousers? He'd be hung from the nearest lamp post! But surely this is a form of racism? I mean if he'd said (for example) "According to a survey, children are able to identify a Dalek, but not a Muslim. Strange that. One is an evil organism from an aggressive race of mutants that thrives on violence, speaks in a rasping staccato and is driven by hate. And so is the other." Where's the difference? Both are slurs against a person's ethnic background. (By the way, before some numbwit jumps on my example it IS just that, an example). I'm not saying it's going to have the same level of upset to everyone but the principle is the same, obviously it's supposed to be a 'joke' on the paper's part but it's a very poor one really. Well it's vaguely funny, and not a big deal IMO, but you're completely right that if it had been aimed at other groups then they would have gone APE over it. But that's hypocrisy Britain for you. Yep, that's pretty much what I was trying to say. I mean on a personal note it's not something that bothers me a great deal, it's the hypocrisy that annoys me more.

  4. That's a bit harsh isn't it?
  5. Is that service still going? Or am I in a time warp
  6. He's got a 'bit' of a lean on him!
  7. I don't see people clamouring over each other to invest in us though.

    Zog Off

Hang on guys, hold fire... isn't this just a re-hash of what has already been reported in the past? I get the sneaking feeling that seeing as the club have quashed all the other guff the press have been trying to peddle about Ashley selling up they're now looking for something else to stir up unrest. To be honest unless there's a television interview or a deal done then I don't believe anything the media come out with.
  9. The only thing that concerns me a little with this 'Ashley looking for backers' thing is does that mean Ashley's not wanting to spend much in the transfer side of things? Are we really strapped for cash?
  10. I hate that south coast team, it's always going to be hard signing players instead of them when the incoming players and their agents are being given bungs... not naming anyone of course. It'd be nice if we signed Aimar though
  11. It seems to be that no matter what the club or it's officials say the press are hell-bent on causing unrest for for us. I've stopped reading anything negative that the press print, better off just waiting for the official news and statements from the club itself.
  12. ... and Hearts is bigger than the Spuds?? Lol
  13. Stopped reading at that point because I knew it was a lie.
  14. Lol, I was under the impression this 'Webster' ruling really was just a joke about Jonas' spiderman antics Seeing as it's true though, I'd think Mallorca won't get anywhere with their complaints - and even if they did they won't get anywhere near their valuation of the player.
  15. You've got to love how the papers are so obsessed with us, even when they can't get any information out of the club itself. It'd be nice if Ashley turned round and sued them for printing false stories, just to get at them even more.
  16. Remind me again, who is he? And is he any good?
  17. That's exactly it, if we could sack him but keep hold of his registration that would help matters a lot - why should someone else get him on a free and us lose out?
  18. Skysports I'm not surprised Dabo got a slap to be honest, he doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut imo (I'm not defending what Barton did but there's no need to whinge about it). Personally I don't like this whole let's have a go at Newcastle mularky, you know fine well that even if we did sack Barton any number of clubs would be waiting in the wings to sign him up on a free and we'd lose out for nothing, and nobody would say a thing about whichever new club signed him up having a lack of morals.
  19. I can see Joey Barton joining in the goal celebrations with a pair of those Hulk Gloves...
  20. All we need now is The Hulk in goal, Ironman in defense and the Silver Surfer up front! Quality
  21. If it was true then we really have slipped in to being a small-time has-been of a club, on the other hand it's probably a load of media stirred up nonsense, making things up because they're getting nothing from any 'insiders'.
