That's what's pissing me off, the old it "evens out over the season" bollocks. In the direct game between us and Wigan which could have a fundamental effect on "the season" it went against us, that's not going to even out. It's crap, in this day and age that we just accept this shit when there's camera's all over.
-
If the last minute handball winner at Wigan had been seen, which I still find incredible it wasn't, we'd be just about there an all.
-
Not looking for a positive spin tbh and I would much rather we stayed up, but in reality it doesn't matter, team will still run out on a weekend and win some/lose some. Was thinking about this over the weekend, Hull fans going mental because they'd come up, fair do's they've achieved something in the competition they were in, but next season they're likely going be on a hiding week in week out, it's all hype over substance.
-
As someone, thought provokingly, posted on another forum: "The thought of relegation is much worse than the reality" Which if you think about it is true. The team will still play games each week (more often than not on a Saturday) in a competition they realistically have a chance to win, as opposed to playing games all over the shop, each week, in a competition they have absolutely no chance to win. Still rather stop up mind, but quite philosophical otherwise.

Think the last fortnight would change anyone's narrative tbh, a conference side would be unlikely to get beaten 9-0 on aggregate over two games against Sunlun and Liverpool, at home FFS You shouldn't get beaten that badly by superb teams, never mind average one's, perfect storm type stuff, really didn't see it coming and there aren't any excuses for it.- 10610 replies

We've been (as have most clubs) unrelentingly crap at that forever (with a couple of rare exceptions).

Ashley's taken £11m out of the club in 2012
Toonpack replied to Happy Face's topic in Newcastle Forum
A directors loan is you taking money out, "money in" as a loan is a completely different thing and, if bearing interest, would be noted in the accounts because loan interest is tax deductible as it's an expense. -

Taking back money you originally put in is monumentally different to taking dividends, you do realise that don't you? -
Agree 100%, Mignolet was one of the big differences between the sides yesterday, he made all the saves he had to. No way Krull should have been beaten for the first at the distance it was hit from and the pace it was going.

For CT A FB (friend of a friend) entry from a "local lass" - the female voice on BoH 2 btw: Hi Everybody, Lorraine here,In the interests of clarifying matters. A. The voice is a reality show and they will heavily edit it for effect .In my experience True! B. Was I paid for singing the song? No, it was sung impromptu as a demo for Meat to sing his vocals to .I believe Meat has no knowledge of this and would have expected the managements to deal with paper work etc . I was however paid for backing vocals on Three other songs on the album. I have never mentioned any of this to Meat as I never thought it was his responsibility and has always treated me like a princess. ... C. Session musicians receive a fee and mostly that’s the end of that . I do however receive the usual PPL payments for my performance on the record . D. Meat did try to talk me out of being credited as Mrs Loud but Jim Steinman and I were trying to sell Mrs Loud ,but with hindsight Meat was right . E. Meat has ALWAYS spoken highly of me and given me full credit for my involvement on Bat 2 and that has always been appreciated by me. F. I understand that when Films or Videos are made they are cast by a director/producer and my look as a blonde was not what they were looking for at the time .I can live with that but the first I knew that my voice was lip synced to by Dana Patrick was when Jim Steinman told me to watch the video on VH1 and when my voice came out of her Face, I was absolutely devastated to say the least ! And no one asked me if it was ok for that to happen . G. Meat and I are still friends and I am disgusted that any one would call this very kind wonderful man names for any reason H. I went on the Voice to try to improve my work situation as I am a full time musician and these day its best to have some sort of TV exposure to secure work , I have entered two reality shows and both were heavily edited but that’s just the chance you have to take . I. The general public will probably never know what goes on behind the scenes in the editing rooms of these competitions . J. Finally ,I give my utmost respect and love to meat will always thank him for the huge opportunity he put my way . Best Wishes, Lorraine

The books are superb, and knowing the story doesn't spoil the TV show tbh

The Road To Amsterdam ArenA (UEFA Europa League 2013) - THE END

Oh I'm not decrying him hugely, was a strange save all the same, his hands were balled into fists, if they'd been spread (a'la the Benfica goalie when he minutely deflected Cisse's effort) the ball would naturally have been deflected as opposed to blocked back. Looked strange as he was reaching yet his fists were balled up when the natural action would be to reach with spread hands. Just struck me, at the time, that the way the ball came back from an airborne dive towards the side was a bit strange. -

First goal was a poor one as well, aye it was unlucky it fell to their bloke but Krull got both hands behind the first shot, should have been pushed away not batted down in front. Basic goalkeeping rule that one. -
