Very true. I'm not too bothered although it's hard not to get excited when you come back in injury time. For the best though IMO.

Very true. All my teachers used to write "could do better" on my reports. That's fair enough but having been bored shitless for most of the 14 or so years I spent at school, they could have too! And Johnny Ball was the proof.

This. Over and over and over again....!

I'll throw in a tenner.

Apparently thems the last words Meenzes victims hear. "victims"?

I'll love him for evermore if we win something. I think we've been VERY lucky but with each game it's harder to argue that it's ONLY luck.

That's absolutely fine. I'll take that.

It doesn't sound so bad when we're 4th. Let's just hope they stay this lucky eh? A masterstroke to plan on getting £35m for a player who cost us nothing 3 years before it happened too! If they can keep unearthing genuine talent on the cheap though, then good luck to them.

It'll be fine man, just don't do it again...!

Can't stop looking at the premiership league table

You could quite easily draw a parallel between the recent Labour years and the Tory era we're now in. Labour spent freely during the housing boom but it's debatable whether or not we got value for money. Now the Tories are in and having to deal with very different economic times and cut spending so as not to go bankrupt (albeit borrowing money if needed). Even if Shepherd was in charge now, there's no way he could act in the same way as he did then. -
Could be the captain for 10 years IMO. Hope it's true.

Tobacco is bad for you. Nicotine isn't apparently. *shrug*

"No Steve! It's not a pint of Guinness, it's the referee!" "Herld me in your arms, don't let me go, I want to stay forever"

Very good point....! -
To be fair to Ashley, gambling is more fun when it's real money. £10s and £20s aren't exactly going to get his heart beating faster are they? Having said that, I'm no gambler having lost a months wages in a fruit machine when I was 16. Oh agreed, and by no means is this a "OMG LOOK AT HIM WASTING CLUB MONEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" kind of thing, just another 'the bloke clearly does not give a fuck about public image' reminder. The amount of photos/stories of him stripping/necking thousand quid bottles of champers, blowing money in the casino kind of makes that clear! Also - a months wages? how did you manage that?!? I feel bad enough when i lose 20/30 quid one the poker nights we have round here!! It was "only" about £200 cause I was still at school (weekend job). I consider myself lucky to have learned the lesson so cheaply though.

cheers one and all. Ironically I just picked up a hire car today from Europa and their big thing was that their petrol was cheaper than getting from a petrol station! I guess you're buying a whole tank though, so make sure you're going to use at least that much.

Always get the extra insurance. I've used most of the major ones and they're all about the same IMO. If you've got time opt to bring it back with a full tank as they charge shitloads extra for petrol/diesel.

We've gone backwards 25 years, they are nowt compared to Geremi, Butt and Emre.
