Dennis Wise quits Leeds to sign up for Newcastle revolution

Fuck him, hes a cunt -
Obafemi Martins is hoping that Newcastle's new boss has more faith in him than the old one did. The Nigerian striker is currently representing his country at the Africa Cup of Nations and is yet to meet Kevin Keegan, but he is still sure that life at the club will be better for him once he returns. Despite being the Magpies' top scorer and constantly looking more of a threat than Mark Viduka or Michael Owen, former Toon boss Sam Allardyce handed Martins just 16 starts during his time in charge and substituted him on 11 of those occasions. As a result, the former Internazionale forward has admitted that he was glad to see the back of Allardyce and is instead looking forward to beginning life under Keegan. "I cannot say I have good memories of Allardyce's time," Martin's said in the News of the World. "I definitely think he should have played me more. "Will it be good to have a fresh start? If something is not right you must change it. "I don't know why he never picked me but he never said anything to me. "I believe Kevin Keegan can help my game."

Yay, we fucking scored! First goal under Keegan

First restless fan tbh ADHD man. You wanted to see him at the 5-a-side in the summer. Like shit off a stainless steel shovel!

Wtf what is the formation now, Enrique of and Rozehnal on ? Edit: Rozehnal has gone to left back, thought Zoggy would have pushed to left back and Rozzy in the middle but doesn't look like it.

That's Milner for you. All graft, no craft. And Duff, all huff, big puff, rather guff.

His first name should surely be "Payscale" not "Pascal"

Alan Shearer will not be returning to Newcastle United as Kevin Keegan's assistant manager, but could still have a role with the club. The legendary Magpies striker, who holds the club's all-time goalscoring record, had admitted he would be interested in joining Keegan's staff. But after initial talks between the duo, the former England boss has announced that Shearer will not become his No.2 at St James' Park. However, Keegan has left the door open for Shearer to take a different role at the club, should they be able to agree on a suitable post. After a detailed meeting between the duo, they both agreed that the much-vaunted 'dream-ticket' combination would not work. However, Keegan confirmed that he would meet with Shearer again after the weekend to hold further discussions on finding a post for the man he signed for a then-world record £15million as a player. Keegan said: "We will see what happens on Monday. It will not be as number two, I will tell you that. "It will not be, and that's the conclusion we both came to. But it will be, if he decides to come in, a very worthwhile role."

Sky Sports News understands Middlesbrough have agreed personal terms with Heerenveen striker Afonso Alves. The Brazilian is Gareth Southgate's top January transfer target, although the Boro boss has had to be patient in his attempts to sign the prolific hit-man. Alves signed a contract with AZ, with the Alkmaar club taking the case to the Dutch FA (KNVB) in an attempt to force Heerenveen to sell. The KNVB ruled against AZ, paving the way for Boro to press on with their interest in the 26-year-old, and it now appears a deal is close. It is understood the player has accepted a contract at the Riverside and Boro are thrashing out a fee in the region of £10million with Heerenveen. Prior to the latest development, Southgate confirmed he was trying to make progress in his pursuit of Alves. "As far as I am aware, there has been a ruling in Holland that he is not an Alkmaar player signed and sealed, so he is a player who is available on the transfer market," said Southgate. "He is one of a few we are making enquiries about and if we make progress, we will let everybody know." Alves' compatriot Fred is another target for Boro, although Southgate accepts it will be more difficult to sign the Lyon striker, who is set to stay with the French champions. Southgate added: "He is one of the players we are looking at. "Most deals seem very complicated, that seems one of the most complicated, so it is probably unlikely, if I am to be honest." We should really be in for him, he is a quality player, also has a great goal scoring record.

...Ohhh yeah! Anyway, still haven't seen the footage, but if indeed it was similar to Bowyer and Dyer or worse then it's a sad double standard indeed. We lost two players (including one, Dyer, who was playing well at the time) for a cup Semi. http://ballhype.com/video/adebayor_head_bu...l_vs_tottenham/ Hand bags
