  1. Aye watched this the other day, utter shite. Getting Bruce Willis to say yippe kay ay doesn't make it Die Hard!
  2. Aye, I've only myself to blame for wasting money on it like!
  3. I can't work out why they would do it on this game like. As I said verona could have won the league and Empoli couldn't finish higher than forth. Livorno were playing at the top team and they could have also won the league if they'd won and verona hadn't. That game ended goalless too.
  4. Powerhouse is canny actually, and poppers are always a laugh
  5. Serie B game between Verona and Empoli today. Verona in second place and could have won the league if they won and the top team lost against Livorno. Was looking at the odds and and Verona to win was 4/1 and Empoli 12/1 with the draw 1/4. Looked strange but I thought it looked easy money betting on both to win. The match finished 0-0 and apparently neither team had a shot, no players were booked, and no tackles were made. Nice to see Italian football has cleaned up its corruption!
  6. I'm distraught when it's an international weekend so we don't have a game so the thought of giving up my season ticket has never entered my head tbh.
  7. Is there a worse bar in the town than Perdu? Bijoux possibly?
  8. Add a couple of gramms into that mix and it sounds like a pretty good party!
  9. I don't get the leaving early when the games in the balance at all (although I fully admit that I rarely get in for kick off these days). Even if we're playing utter shite but a goal would change the game I'd stay as scoring would be brilliant. If we'd scored in the last few minutes against Liverpool I wouldn't have jumped up and celebrated as I would have felt a complete tit celebrating getting beat 6 - 1 and there wasn't a fucking chance of us getting anwhere near level with them in ten minutes.
  10. Aye I'm enjoying it greatly. Also been listening to the new Kurt Vile one a lot. Very chilled out. Excellent stuff.
  11. Spectators don't care, they're just there to watch the game. Supporters feel it much more when things go so bad. Some times too much which is why they can't take it and leave. No ones going to tell me that I don't care just because I've left early!
  12. I fucked off when the bin dippers sixth went in the other week and im not ashamed to admit it. It's one of three occasions I've left a match early (once when I was a bairn and dragged out the othe against Arsenal and I suppose I deserve all I got there but it was more a protest at the way I saw the club was going after the Carroll sale than it was to do with that match in particular) and I just couldn't take how pathetic we were. I saw no reason to stay just to boo at the end or slag off the players or manager any more than I had for the previous eighty minutes or so. It takes a lot to make me so seething that I would do that but I can understand anyone who would do it. I can't understand those who leave every week when the match is still in the balance. That's lunacy to me.
  13. Fuck off everyone reading this must have got to the end of the first series by now man
  14. Sat in the pub last night after five a side one of the lads said he'd just started watching it. To which my mate said it was class when Sean Bean got killed. The other lad wasn't at all happy as he was only up to episode seven
  15. Thank christ we missed out on him. After the years of Dyer and Bramble getting in to bother time and time again the last thing we need is to go back to shite like that.
  16. Would you include Brendan Rogers as a winner? I think a lot of people expecting him to fail at Liverpool but they've ended on a pretty decent run and a league position as good as could be expected. Then again, I think his handling of the Suarez biting incident (or more specifically the ban that was handed out) was typically poor. Scott Sinclair would certainly be loser. Started the season at the Olympics and then barely played at all.
  17. I can't imagine that many of us would know who are good coaches that might be available. Even those who've been screaming for Pardew to be replaced for months haven't really managed to come up with much in the way of manager options so decebt coach options are going to be nigh on impossible to come up with.
  18. Aye, I think that's fair. Hughton went that way beacause of the players he had.
  19. You always do. Players fall out form, get injured or just generally stagnate without someone coming in to freshen things up. Even the best teams bring one player into their first team pool each season even if they've just been successful.
  20. The two telling stats are the set pieces and interceptions for me. Last season I said we played like Barca without the ball (obviously not with). We were all over teams and this season has been the complete opposite. Part of it will be to do with Tiote and Cabayes absences and loss of form but personally I don't think we look anywhere near as fit. I remember against Spurs at home last year we ran them into the ground at the end of the game. If it had been a cup game with extra time we would have comfortably won imo. We look dead on our feet this term. How much Europe has played a part in that I don't know. With regards to the set pieces, I think it's daft to dismiss the impact Caroll, Nolan and Barton played in us being so much better a couple of seasons ago. But equally I do think it is to do with our set piece strategy also. It's failled spectacularly and needs addressing in the summer. I'd like to see how we compare to other teams in that area.
  21. Canny article by Mark Douglas in the Journal today. He must have been reading online as he seems to have done his own dossier of what the issues are. Doesn't really go as far as to criticise Pardew, just highlights what the problems have been.
  22. Stand Up Guys. Ok, Pacino, Walken & Arkin are always worth a watch.
  23. If it doesn't have to be one of the team then you're quite welcome to lust after me
